Sales Operation and Trade Marketing Manager

Reporting to General Manager, this hybrid role combines sales operations management with trade marketing leadership to drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and brand visibility. The Sales Operations & Trade Marketing Manager will optimize sales processes and analytics, and develop trade marketing strategies that strengthen relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Sales Operations

  • Develop and implement sales processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure data integrity for accurate forecasting.
  • Analyze sales data to provide actionable insights and performance reports.
  • Monitor KPIs, manage pipelines, and support quota achievement.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Marketing to align sales strategies with business goals.

 

Trade Marketing

  • Design and execute trade marketing strategies to enhance product visibility and drive sales at retail and distribution levels.
  • Plan and manage trade promotions, merchandising, and in-store activation.
  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer behavior to identify opportunities.
  • Develop promotional materials and ensure alignment with brand objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in trade marketing, retail marketing, or FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, shopper behavior, and promotional mechanics.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Fluent in English and Japanese (written and spoken).

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in cosmetics or beauty industry
  • Knowledge of trade marketing and omnichannel activation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP system or data analysis tools
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in trade marketing tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and measure ROI of trade activities
