In Store & Merchandising Operations Leader - Consumer Beauty & Prestige

Your role:
The In-Store & Merchandising Operations Leader- Consumer Beauty (CB) & Prestige provides direct support to the Head of Merchandising & In-Store Excellence – CB & Prestige along with the Senior Merchandising Manager – Prestige & CB. In this diverse role you will Manage our 3rd party merchandising agency to deliver in-store excellence across CB & Prestige brands on time and in line with budget. You will be responsible for all CB point of sale from warehouses to in-store aligned with the merchandising program, merchandising strategy, Installations, storage, and maintenance nationally. You will spend substantial time weekly in field across Sydney stores within various channels of business implementing and updating the business on our best-in-class strategies as part of the Perfect Store Program.
Reporting to the Head of Merchandising & In-Store Excellence, you will:
- Management of Consumer Beauty & Prestige merchandising activities via 3rd Party agency to achieve sales targets, KPI’s, budgets and business goals.
- Manage and develop all aspects of the third-party relationship including briefs, budgets, reporting, store lists and allocation templates.
- Development and ongoing management of the allocated budget: merchandising operations, freight, storage, and maintenance. Manage related PO’s, including Capex, and invoicing as needed.
- Regularly spend time in market weekly (30%), across a wide selection of Sydney stores, to perform checks, planogram updates and merchandising trials, competitor insights along with providing all necessary information relating to the Perfect Store program.
- Work closely with our Installation vendor to manage the national dispatch, budgets, installation, maintenance, and storage of POS.
- Act as the conduit between all Coty internal functions (Marketing Activation, Sales & Brand Marketing) to provide centralised communication between Coty and Agency.
- Lead briefing sessions, WIP, reviews, sales & operations meetings and other associated meetings related to the Merchandising Operations and Perfect Store program. Distribute agenda and minutes from key meetings.
- Liaising with various Coty’s warehouses and responsible for monitoring and driving excess POS, destruction and managing monthly storage cost.
- Work closely with all functions to streamline and develop standard implementation & reporting systems, processes, and procedures.
- Manage all incoming queries and requests from the National Account Managers.
- Manage and distribute the monthly in-store competitor reporting, compliance report, execution calendar and ad hoc reports; review weekly and action as required.
- Manage multiple projects at one time across various retail partners and manage any additional ad hoc projects that may be delegated by the Head of Merchandising.
You will have:
- HSC/tertiary qualifications.
- 5+ years of experience as an Operations Manager or Project Manager in a similar role within Merchandising, Agency, Sales, or Marketing.
- High level interpersonal skills with ability to lead and work collaboratively with all cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel extensively at times across Sydney at short notice.
- At times interstate travel may be required.
- Strong analytical, thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- High level ability to set priorities and manage competing demands.
- High motivation, energy, passion, and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Results oriented mindset with the ability to be flexible and resilience to overcome challenges.
- Strong MS Office skills required including Excel & PowerPoint.
