Merchandising Intern

COTY SINGAPORE

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Visual Merchandising Intern to join our Travel Retail APAC team. This role offers hands-on experience in fragrance and beauty merchandising, providing exposure to global prestige brands.

THE ROLE  

OPTIMIZE, ENABLE, INNOVATE!

As our merchandising intern will support the end-to-end visual merchandising process across Asia Pacific duty-free environments – from design and planning to execution and post-launch follow-up. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and regional markets, gaining practical insights into VM operations, planogramming, POSM management, logistics coordination, and retail activation in a dynamic travel retail environment.

You will be reporting to Senior Visual Merchandiser (Travel Retail Asia Pacific), and you will manage:

• Visual Merchandising Support
  
  

• Assist in creating, updating, and adapting planograms for new product launches and permanent counters.
  
  

• Support preparation of VM guidelines for markets, ensuring alignment with global brand directions and local APAC needs.
  
  

• Consolidate and review in-store photos/reports from markets to monitor compliance and highlight best practices.
  
  

• POSM & Launch Coordination
  
  

• Track POSM (Point-of-Sale Materials) orders and assist VMs with POSM forecast.
  
  

• Support in maintaining VM trackers (e.g., deployment, order forms, stock-on-hand, POSM calendars).
  
  

• Help ensure markets receive the right VM assets (collaterals, testers, visuals, fixtures) on time for launch readiness.
  
  

• Project & Operational Assistance
  
  

• Support VM team in launch readiness trackers, follow-up with cross-functional teams (marketing, logistics, commercial, finance).
  
  

• Assist in vendor management – chasing timelines, consolidating feedback, sample approvals, and QC follow-ups.
  
  

• Participate in deployment calls/induction sessions and help consolidate meeting minutes and action items.
  
  

• Creative & Process Improvement
  
  

• Assist in preparing presentation decks for internal and external stakeholders (brand inductions, post-mortems, VIP market visits).
  
  

• Support development of digital tools and trackers (e.g., AI planogram project, SharePoint libraries).
  
  

• Provide creative input on POSM design, material choices and sustainability initiatives.
  
  

YOU ARE A COTY FIT  

As a merchandising intern, you thrive in a fast-paced and diverse environment. You are highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and possess a strong sense of curiosity and creativity.

• Undergraduates who can commit for at least 6 months (Jul to Dec 2026) for a full-time internship.
  
  

• Skilled in the use of MS Office tools including Outlook (or related email tool) Excel, Word and PowerPoint. For Visual Merchandising Interns, skilled in the use of Adobe Creative cloud will be a plus.
  
  

• Self-motivated and self-starter, with a strong work ethic and a sense of confidentiality.
  
  

• Possesses cross-cultural awareness and high emotional intelligence.
  
  

• Articulate, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

• Good balance of a professional attitude while having fun.
  
  

• Strong interest in consumer goods, makeup and beauty products.
  
  

• Strong desire to learn along with a strong sense of ownership.
  
  

• Persuasive, resilient and flexible, able to easily adapt to new challenges.
