Assistant Brand Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Brand Marketing, ATL, PR
• Develop short to long-term brand and launch plans in conjunction with Key Accounts and Retail Operations, aimed at driving sell-out, sales productivity, brand/product rankings and market share
• Make strategic decisions around big bets and key priorities, with a view to do “fewer, but bigger and better”, showcasing Singapore as the market with best-in-class practices/executions/successes
• Partner Media and PR agencies to develop cohesive Media and PR strategies to build brand desirability and exclusive tribes, to support brand development and major launches
• Track and improve Marketing KPIs and ROIs
2. Trade Marketing, BTL
• Plan and execute BTL promotions across Department Stores, Sephora, Perfumery and Ecommerce channels for omni-excellence
• Develop exclusive offerings and promotions tailored to various customers/channels and end-consumers
• Plan and execute animations and podiums in conjunction with Key Accounts, Visual Merchandising and Retail Operations
• Co-own brand-, category- and BA-productivity with Retail Operations and Key Accounts
• Support Key Accounts and Retail Operations with month-to-month sales planning activations aimed at stretching results, and/or mitigating risks
3. A&CP Budgeting, P&L Management
• Plan, own and manage A&CP budget to ensure profitability
• Co-own brand P&Ls, including actively managing sell-out to sell-in, gross-to-net and product contribution
4. Market Planning & Forecasting
• Monitor closely/adjust the forecast for both new marketing initiatives and baseline categories/franchises, according to business needs
• Work with stakeholders to realize commercial ambitions; to re-phase forecasts when required, and track performances of key pillars
• Manage inventory and make plans as required for discontinuations and Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) reduction
5. Reporting & Others
• Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly reporting as per brand and APAC requirements, managing ad-hoc reporting requests when required
• Providing valuable insights to local, regional and global teams on brand and competitor performance, using them to enhance our own brand performance and results
• Pricing and promotional analysis
REQUIREMENTS
A dynamic and entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong attention to detail, the ideal candidate will bring along the following:
• Minimally 5 years of 360° brand management experience in Luxury Beauty, particularly in Fragrances, within the Singapore domestic market
• Significant relevant experience with the Department Store and Sephora channels, with a strong understanding of the retail drumbeat and landscape in Singapore. Channel experience in Free Standing Stores is a bonus.
• Experience in multi-brand portfolio management is preferred
• A proven track record in brand-building and expansion; a strategic thinker who does not gloss over details
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and work under pressure
• Highly detailed with strong organizational and analytical skills; attuned with performance marketing
• A team player, ability to develop effective working relationships both internally & externally and excel in a multi-cultural environment
• Proactive, agile, with a strong business acumen
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
