ROLE AND DEPARTMENT  

The role will report to VP, R&D Asia

  

THE ROLE  

In this role you will be responsible for: 

  • Asia regional RA head as leading registration and regulatory affairs teams based in China, Japan and Singapore for markets covering China, Hongkong, Taiwan, Japan, and SEAI (Southeast Asia and India) as long technical support to Korea.
  • Ensure on-time delivery for registration and amendment of NPD projects and renew/refresh to the existing in-marketed products.  Ensure on-time delivery of annual report specifically to China market.
  • Lead RA review to the product claims and any claims used in other occasions like technical seminar, PR event, offline boutiques…etc.
  • Lead registration and regulatory related trainings to cross-functional teams covering Commercial, Supply Chain and R&D.
  • Lead collaboration and partnership with key associations like CAFFCI, EUCCC, AmCham...etc.
  • Maintain relationships with key external stakeholders and national/local authorities, support authority inquiries, investigations and audits.
  • Actively participate in meetings/conferences held by relevant organizations such as authorities, associations, key industrial platforms…etc, representing company to provide regulatory related presentations towards business needs.
  • Keep close connections with global RAPIC teams to ensure effective mutual communication to regulatory related subjects such as impact analysis to Asia regional markets due to European regulatory change; regional registration issues require global RA timely support; local country’s regulatory change requires actions from global RA as well as timely management to the Value Protection work that impacts local business.   
  • Monitor China cosmetic regulations’ change; effectively communicate with global and local relevant functions in time with appropriate assessment and mitigation proposal when needed.
  • Lead Coty internal assessment and feedback collection towards new regulations (global, regional and local); make impact negotiation to the authority, industrial associations, trade associations and other industry players.  Mutual ways as either global/regional regulation change impacts local markets actions or local regulation changes require global actions.
  • Lead & support mitigation plan development and implementation for new regulations (global, regional and local) with ensuring full compliance towards new regulations.  Mutual ways as either global/regional regulation change impacts local markets actions or local regulation changes require global actions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams like Commercial, Supply chain, Legal, Quality…etc to manage and address business needs such as local labeling, import/export support, PR/claim material review, post market investigation, quality audit…etc.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING  

We’d love to see candidates who have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and above with tracked history in overall leading regulatory function.
  • 12 -15 + years’ experience of registration and regulatory affairs in cosmetic industry.
  • Excellent soft skills in communication with stakeholders across the world both internal and external.
  • Tracked record in leading relatively large organizations; abroad experience or experience with x-countries remote management is preferred.
  • Ability to engage and effectively communicate with senior stakeholders
  • Fluent in English skill, excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong network within cosmetic industry especially with authorities, associations, industrial practitioners…etc.
