RESPONSIBILITIES

As this role, you will report to Director, R&D Discovery & Innovation.

Your main focus :

• Support China scientific communication program for skincare by leveraging various platforms and implementing appropriate ways/formats, closely connect with global sci-com team and China commercial team to holistically enhance scientific credentials of fundamental research and product technology.
• Lead sci-com content preparation according to local needs, based on global strategy and materials, as well as local insights. Design or contribute to content which is suitable for different occasions including conference abstracts, scientific articles, professional presentations, commercial events, interviews, digital platform etc. Regularly connect with cross-functional teams including global and local skin research and innovation, claims, clinical and tox team etc., to collect related materials.
• Support external engagement for China skincare brands, identify and engage with key external partners, including top health care professionals, professors, associations, influencers, professional media, etc., to build ecosystem for scientific communications. Help build and maintain relationships with scientific advisory boards locally.
• Responsible for commercial events of related skincare brand product launches, PR events, and product related communication in China by working closely with cross-functional team including global and local marketing, PR, digital, E-Commerce etc. to provide strategic scientific support for business growth.
• Project management of local & Asian fundamental research by closely working with internal and external key stakeholders, identifying key tasks, defining milestones, to achieve final project objectives.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT

• PhD with bio-related background, e.g. Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physiology, Molecular biology, Pharmacology, Basic Medical Science etc. MSc with very relevant experience can be considered.
• At least 5 years of experience in related R&D basic research/clinical research/scientific communication/medical affairs role.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral. Demonstrate ability to be a credible scientific speaker in front of broad audiences including professionals and non-scientists.
• Experience in planning and managing scientific forums in professional congress or events.
• Ability to search and critically review related scientific literature.
• Experience in skin research / microbiome /multi-omics / bio-technology research.
• Fluent in oral and written English
