ROLE AND DEPARTMENT  

The role will support Director, R&D Discovery & Innovation

THE ROLE  

In this role you will be responsible for: 

• Lead and manage local & Asian fundamental research projects by collaboration with Universities, Institutes, Hospitals, Startups, etc. Contribute to develop & grow the Discovery & Innovation Platforms in China for Skincare Categories, by closing connect with global skincare research & Innovation team.
• Explore innovative testing approaches including in vitro, ex vivo and clinical methodologies to consolidate potential performance of cross category future Innovations.
• Lead external engagement program for China, identify and engage with key external influencers, including health care professionals, scientists, KOLs, professional media, etc., to advance science and education, through academic meetings, publications, product events, and product related communication.
• Lead scientific communications for new premium/luxury skincare brands product launches in China by working closely with cross-functional team.  

WHAT YOU’LL BRING  

We’d love to see candidates who have: 

• MD or PhD with bio-related background, e.g. Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physiology, Molecular biology, Pharmacology, Public Health, Basic Medical Science, Bioinformatics, etc. MSc with very relevant experience can be considered.
• At least 2 years of experience in skin related R&D basic research/clinical research/scientific communication role.
• Experience in microbiome /metabolomics /bioinformatics /bio-technology research.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Experience in oral presentations in scientific congress or other occasions, global communication is preferred.
• Ability to search and critically review related peer-reviewed scientific literatures.
• Fluent in oral and written English
