Manufacturing Bulk Line Service Technician

MANUFACTURING BULK LINE SERVICE TECHNICIAN

 

SANFORD, NC

THE ROLE

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

 

  • Providing bulk to production floor and Third-Party Manufacturer.
  • Adhering to HR and S&H policies and respect Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Following departmental procedures with respect to manufacturing, pre-weigh and receiving.
  • Contributing positive results to the Lacquer department key objectives (QA Index, GCM, S&H, RFT).
  • Performing all line service functions including the safe delivery of bulk to the production floor, bulk changeovers, line flushes and inventory transactions in SAP
  • Achieving an understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and employing these practices always by maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Maintaining accuracy in work
  • Understanding raw material safety procedures. Knowing how to obtain safety information for raw materials unknown to them and uses the suggested personal safety equipment.
  • Demonstrating willingness to work reasonable overtime as required.
  • Performing duties at a satisfactory pace.
  • Maintaining a positive relationship with the IC department.
  • Routinely interacting with management.
  • Follow all site GMP policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

 

We’d love to see candidates who have:

  • A good working knowledge of SAP and the RF handheld scanners.
  • Satisfactory knowledge in Basic Arithmetic. This will enable the employee to perform basic weighing and measuring functions. Must be able to use a calculator. Must be able to demonstrate this skill.
  • Basic knowledge of GCM, QA and TAR indices.
  • A high degree of accuracy in the job performance and attention to detail.
  • Satisfactory attendance, safety record, and work performance.
  • The minimal requirements to obtain a valid forklift license.
  • A basic understanding of Coty’s customers (internal and external) and their role in customer satisfaction.
  • Committed to completion of work assignments.
  • Ability to stand for a long period of time as well as raise and move up to 22.7 kilograms (50 pounds) unassisted and maneuver drums weighing approximately 200 kilos (440 pounds)
  • Strong in communication skills.
  • Understand importance of teamwork.
  • Eager to assist others when required.
  • Is an active participant in meetings and voices opinions openly.
  • Shares new ideas with others.
  • Must be able to read and follow detailed instructions and procedures, and effectively communicate in both verbal and written formats.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

 

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.  Work environment could include exposure to varying air temperatures seasonally impacted.

 

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

Medium:  Requires exertion of 21 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 11 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires about 6 or more hours of intermittent standing or walking in an 8-hour workday. Sitting may be required only intermittently and occasionally.   Stooping is usually required frequently.

 

Duration & Repetitive Standards

Constant activity or condition exists up more than 2/3 of the time equivalent to more than 5.25 hours per work day or more than 40 minutes each hour.
