The successful candidate will have overall project management responsibilities to develop, organize, and deliver capacity, cost savings and safety/quality improvement initiatives within cGMP manufacturing and distribution at Coty Sanford.  Specific deliverables will include the identification of project requirements, establishment of clear and achievable objectives while balancing the competing demands for quality, scope, time and cost.  As project manager, you will need to adapt the specifications, plans and approach to the different concerns and expectations of the various stakeholders, customers, and users.       

 

 

THE ROLE

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

 

  • Develop and manage the engineering project work for manufacturing and distribution from scope development through implementation and start up
  • Recommend and purchase bulk processing, product storage, packaging, logistics and facilities equipment
  • Project, construction and cost management for end-to-end capital projects and initiatives
  • Prepare layouts and supervise installation of machinery
  • Improve the performance and efficiency of machinery while maintaining quality standards
  • Automate bulk processing, product storage, packaging, logistics and facilities processes
  • Promote good safety and housekeeping practices in each production mini-plant
  • Support engineering departmental objectives
  • Perform annual reviews with direct reports
  • Maintain a teamwork atmosphere of trust and cooperation
  • Plan and assign work of subordinate employees
  • Support operations (manufacturing and distribution) in the training and service of all new equipment purchases and upgrades
  • Manage the project budgets

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

 

We’d love to see candidates who have:

 

  • BS in engineering (ME/IE/EE preferred)
  • 5+ years’ experience in a LEAN &  cGMP environment producing cosmetics or OTC-drug / processing and packaging environment
  • Project capital management experience required
  • Project, construction and cost management experience required
  • Knowledge of manufacturing/distribution/processing automation, machine design
  • PMP certification preferred

 

 

Special Skills Required:

 

  • Extensive and detailed knowledge and experience with hygienic processing, storage, packaging, logistics and facilities equipment
  • Knowledge of machine controls, PLCs (RSLogix 5000, FT Batch, FT View SE, FT Historian, FT VantagePoint) and VF drives
  • Strong mechanical and electrical ability
  • Strong knowledge of Vessels, Pumps, Mixers, Homogenizers, Hygienic Piping/Welding
  • Strong knowledge of Cold and Hot Purified Water Systems (US pharmacopeia)
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills including Excel, Power Point, MS Project and AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills
  • Technical expert
  • Ability to grasp and implement new technical concepts and methods
  • Ability to create and manage project budgets, constraints, time, and scope changes
