Senior Manager Global E-Commerce

Position

The Global E-Commerce Senior Manage is a high-profile opportunity for a candidate to lead the development of COTY’s fastest growing channel for Coty. It’s a critical role in the Operating Office team, reporting to the Vice President for Global Trade. The person will operate in a matrix organization globally (brands x markets x retailers).

The role’s objective is to foster top strategic eRetailer-partnerships for all of Coty brands, as well as to increase the eCommerce share of our total Beauty business. As such, the eCom Senior Manager works hand-in-hand with regional & local eCom teams, as well as Global Trade and Brand teams, even Licensors when needed, ensuring Coty affiliates have all the support needed to overdrive e-Commerce.

Due to the strong emphasis on developing eRetailer partnerships, expanding distribution, supporting the markets in their negotiations and creating global commercial strategies & capabilities, we’re looking for a skilled e-Business leader. Sustained eCommerce experience in Luxury is a must-have, and digital brand building experience on-top a preference. 

 

Key missions in the role include the below; missions may vary based on business needs:

 

1/ In charge of online distribution approval of the brands portfolio for eCom Pure players 

  • Govern the international commercial strategy of all International Pure players, including SDA, pricing, assortment, promotions (Fashion- and Beauty players, marketplaces, consignment). Gather requests and liaise with Global brands / prioritize needs for FH approval
  • Monitor competition brands’ presence to identify white spaces 
  • Identify new platforms and engage talks to assess potential for future global / local partnerships


2/ In charge of online new business channels opportunities

  • Assess merchant capabilities, business models for new channels: TikTok shops, AI search merchant capabilities

Identify POC opportunities with Brands / markets, coordinate test frame, and analyse results

Frame guidelines for countries, and propose a roadmap for scale

  • Social selling / livestream (Asia): update guidelines for countries, validate countries proposals with brands in collaboration with Senior Director Advocacy, IM & Social Commerce

 

3/ Coordinate Amazon Global roadmap and winning plan for Coty Prestige

  • Follow up Coty x Amazon local Joint Business Plan (JBP) strategy and expansion plan, aside to negotiations and operations occurring locally, to consolidate a Coty Global roadmap for Coty LT Top-to-top retailer meetings, or Strategic talks with region heads
  • Work closely with regions to coordinate countries & brands’ expansion glidepath, and obtain brand’s / FH’s support to unlock expansion, to enable scaling globally
  • Assist the VP E-Commerce Europe in leveraging Central Amazon GVM support on Prestige related topics (E.g.: Brand Registry, Gating, Brands’ expansion…)
  • Share recommendations based on local market feedback and best practices

 

4/ Coordinate global eCom strategy & reporting

  • Contribute to Global eCom Finance reporting monthly/quarterly: aside to dashboards, analyse business results based on retailers’ & countries’ knowledge, highlighting best practices & opportunities. Be the go-to person for Earning calls prep on all eCom topics and liaise with regions If needed.
  • Coordinate and centralize Global eComm strategy, and consolidated vision for Strategic reporting (Strat Plans, 3YP, BRs). 
  • Infuse competition brands eCom strategies into the omnichannel consumer journey, in close collaboration with the global trade & brand teams, and local markets 
    • Deliver comprehensive Coty & competition audits (new launches, KCP) with key insights & recommendations   

 

5/ Coordinate eCommerce capabilities in support to regions

  • Lead the eCom capabilities budget for SEO & DSA (UGAM or else) 
  • Accompany Rates & Reviews and eSampling local capabilities, to share best practices / vendors, and align product plans to make sure portfolio priorities are covered, in close collaboration with the global trade teams
  • Support local teams with MH animation needs 
  • Cross AI-gen projects, as well as & innovation / tech projects

 

Profile: The successful candidate will have the following profile:

  • Min. of 7-8 years of experience in eCommerce and/or local strategic business development
  • Required experience: Business development in Luxury goods, setting and implementing commercial strategies (price, promo, assortment), negotiating eCommerce Retailer contracts, collaborating multifunctionally, inspiring and activating internal and external stakeholders
  • Preferred experience: people management, P&L management (input to P&L, not full ownership), Digital marketing, Licensor management, Budget owner >$1M, Prestige Beauty Goods
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written, is an absolute must, other languages will be a plus
  • Energetic can-do attitude and intrinsically motivated to build teams and people in the digital landscape
  • Proficiency with data analytics and visualization (making complex matters appear simple)
