Retail Specialist - Travel Retail EMEA, CDI H/F


We’re looking for a Retail Specialist to join our Travel Retail EMEA team. As Coty Travel Retail you will be responsible for all sell-out duties pertaining to their assigned stores, with the main responsibility of growing retail sales & going after Market Share gain. The Retail Specialist is the liaison between the stores and Coty management; instrumental in implementing the strategies of the company, assisting the KAM/ASM in managing the specified territory and accounts.


As our Retail Specialist you will be responsible of:

  1. Maximizing the sale of Coty products by developing a highly skilled and motivated Fragrance & Beauty Advisor Team
  • Establishing monthly sales objectives by airport and individual targets.
  • Following up and correcting deviations from targets.
  • Analyzing sales methods and supporting teams to improve techniques.
  • Proposing and following up on incentive programs to push sell out.
  • Recruiting permanent staff: job search, interviews, applications, ID passes, approve expenses, etc. Liaise with the local HR for all processes.
  • Ensuring Beauty Advisors are fully equipped to best perform their job (merchandising, guidelines, marketing activities, minimum display quantities, visual rights, etc.).
  • Managing agency relationships, recruiting seasonal staff and promoters depending on the budget set by the head office team and promotion plan in place.
  • Coordinating working schedules for each airport according to peak times, flights, promotions, vacations, absences, and shop regulations.
  • Coaching our Beauty Advisors on perfect store principles and sales techniques.
  • Helping set up trainings with the regional training manager.
  • Training Promoters and Retailer’s staff on novelties and animations.
  • Being a LiveBeautyApp ambassador and spreading usage together with best practices.
  • Conducting personal BA reviews and ensuring monthly team meetings.
  1. Ensuring Perfect Store execution on our brands 
  • Ensuring the most qualitative representation of the brands on the shop floor as per head office guidelines (clean shelves, furniture and products, uniforms, logos, visuals, planograms, etc.).
  • Ensuring testers, POSM, and GWP are in place and well maintained.
  • Reviewing distribution, assortment, and merchandising in line with head office guidelines and customer agreement for non-branded space and generic spaces.
  • Coordinating implementation of promotions, sharing pictures, and providing feedback to the head office team and on TRIP.
  • Owning local animation execution, defining assortment and sales targets with the Area Sales Manager, and analyzing results.
  • Arranging and following up on decoration and furniture maintenance with contractors or retailers.
  1. Coty Local Ambassador: Developing good and supportive relationships with the clients (HQ and shop floor)
  • Influencing local management to optimize plans on the COTY portfolio:
    • Presenting and submitting marketing plans and new products on time.
    • Recommending increased stock levels according to opportunities, merchandising changes, or new product introductions.
    • Winning secondary locations in the shop through local customer teams.
  • Finding and updating the head office team on new or existing opportunities, as well as refurbishments and new openings.
  • Main contact for agencies for recruiting and training promoters, ensuring agencies follow KPIs set by the head office team.


  1. Market Analysis
  • Monthly sales reporting for each account/shop (vs. budget and vs. PY) with explanation of main deviations.
  • Store visiting summary highlighting opportunities and help needed/next steps to KAM.
  • TRIP reporting in line with guidance on top airports and executive doors.
  • Pricing and competing brands reporting to help the head office team understand market dynamics.
  • Reporting findings on promotion sales performance and innovation feedback (with pictures and sales results) and new launches to the Area Manager.
  • Analyzing space and improving it via permanent calls on shop and merchandising managers.
  • Recommending major changes to the KAM.
