Director Global Retail Performance & Education

Coty is one of the world’s largest beauty companies with an iconic portfolio of brands across fragrance, color cosmetics, skin care and body care. One of the biggest successes of these past years, Coty is reinventing itself by strongly developing Retail, Skincare, Niche fragrances and is looking for its new Head of Global Retail Performance & Education Prestige within a newly created Global Retail Experience pole.

 

THE ROLE :


-    The Director of Global Retail Performance & Education is responsible for developing, leading and executing the Coty Luxury Global Retail Performance & Education Strategy for the full luxury portfolio on Fragrance, Makeup and Skincare. The Director is in charge of driving conceptualization, initiation and development of Global Retail Education content, programs and materials that are aligned with the brand business objectives. 

 

-    The Director oversees the execution strategy establishing global consistency and brand equity, while considering local market needs and channel-specific needs (open sales environments, department stores, free standing stores, travel retail); ensuring programs and formats are results-driven and interactive.

 

-    Working closely at a 360 capacity with Brand Teams, Regional Retail Education Leads, Transversal Teams, the director ensures that training programs translate brand insights into meaningful, on-brand retail education initiatives; ensuring that market-specific and cultural needs are met within retail in-store environments and virtual programs.

 

-    The Director develops and implements the strategy for Transversal programs:  selling behavior & coaching, luxury service skills, soft skills linked to digital (such as livestreaming, omni canal, etc) to support the global business, functioning as a resource and leader for the Regions, providing both product and sales expertise – with expert consideration on ensuring cultural needs.

 

-    Performance objectives are also established by the Director, including conceptualization and implementation of learning outcomes, and assessment tools using established instructional theories and design principles.

 

-    Partner and collaborate with consumer marketing, omni channel, Communication teams, Research and Development, and Digital teams to assist in the development of in-store & digital initiatives of Fragrance, Makeup and Skincare for all retail education channels.

 

-    The Director works with cross-functional departments globally and locally to develop and reinforce KPIs and continuously communicate opportunities for priority brands/launches. Evaluate and prioritize learning needs of specific retailer employee segments to create training solutions to enhance brand and product passion.

 

-    The scope includes annual plan of training offerings both Global and Local, planning of Retail Education Seminars and future program visioning and execution.

 

-    The Director reports into the newly created Global EVP Retail Experience position.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 


•    15 years of commercial, global retail education and/or omnichannel experience - experience working with Asian markets. Prior Beauty Advisor experience would be a plus. Creation of global Education guidelines. Excellent knowledge of the 3 beauty categories make-up, fragrance, skincare
•    Excellent knowledge of omnichannel: digital trends, retail landscape and emerging consumer behaviors
•    Results-oriented, with strong project/process management experience and skills
•    Managerial experience in leading and motivating a team
•    Digitally connected and aware of ongoing global trends especially in Asia
•    Ability to work collaboratively, influence power and build positive/effective business partnerships
•    Ability to interact with all levels of management in a fast paced, high growth, continuously evolving environment
•    Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written 
•    Highly organized with strong attention to details
•    Occasional international travel required (25% to 35% of the time)
•    English fluent required. Mandarin would be a plus
