Artwork Specialist

THE ROLE

 

The Artwork Project Specialist (APS) is responsible for the execution of packaging Artwork for new and updated perfumes and cosmetics going into our global markets.

The APS will work across functions to ensure Artworks are printable, regulatory compliant and maintains our design integrity. This role is fast paced and requires good computer, project management, communication and organizational skills, a detailed eye, plus a passion for excellence.

The APS is responsible for multiple projects running concurrently.

 

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

 

  • Own and drive packaging Artwork development autonomously from late design phase to supplier proof within the Initiative project as a trusted expert, and always in adherence with the agreed work processes.
  • Lead the Artwork project schedule to deliver Artwork synchronized with overall initiative schedule, as per initiative success criteria, with a multifunctional team and external suppliers.
  • Initiate and own Artwork meetings to ensure smooth handovers between Design Agency, Studio and Suppliers.
  • Collect inputs from the multifunctional team (Global Marketing, Initiative Leaders, R&D pack, R&D formula, Regulatory, Safety…) and ensure they are Fit for Use.
  • Brief the Artwork production studio (external).
  • Ensure the Artworks are approved by the multifunctional team.
  • Address, resolve or escalate issues when needed and thrive for continuous Artwork process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Is fully capable of using the Artwork platform Esko WebCenter and connected tools.
  • Lead, coach and train the multifunctional team members on the Artwork process, tools and best practice.
  • Is responsible for maintaining and improving team goals.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

 

Essential

  • Proven experience in managing Artwork projects and delivering on time, on cost and on quality
  • Proven experience in delivering projects as leader or member of a multifunctional team
  • Proficiency with computer skills and MS Office
  • Knowledge of Artwork tools (e.g., WebCenter)
  • Detail oriented
  • Self-managed
  • High professional organizational skills
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

 

Preferred

  • Familiarity with beauty products/ retail environment
  • Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator
  • Understanding of the different print processes used for artwork on primary and secondary packaging
  • Understanding of the layers construction of an Artwork, ability to spot mistakes and advise on optimized construction
  • Understanding of Technical Drawings and ability to detect missing/wrong information
  • Understanding of the requirement of design guidelines and ability to advise on consistency throughout the artwork development in relation to color and design
