Role and responsibilities:
Within the Retail Experience Team, the Temporary Merchandising Senior Manager leads the development of Fragrance and Make-up temporary activations across a portfolio of brands. The role spans from concept definition to execution including design, guidelines, and activation toolkits, while supporting worldwide VM teams in the deployment of temporary retail spaces
Working closely with Global Trade Marketing, Marketing, Digital, and Education teams, as well as with the different Fashion Houses, he/she is responsible for translating brand strategies into impactful in-store experiences and elevated consumer experiences.
Reporting to the Retail Experience Director, this role also includes the management of a team Project Managers.
Key missions:
With creativity and pragmatism:
- Partner with Marketing and 360 teams to translate campaign launches (makeup & fragrance) into consistent in-store activations, ensuring consistency with Brand strategy and storytelling;
- Collaborate with Fashion Houses to adapt Brand vision into temporary retail experiences, creating strong consumer journeys across all touchpoints (launches, animations, pop-ups, podiums);
- Lead the development of temporary activations from creative brief to execution (design, prototyping, production), in close collaboration with Procurement and external agencies and suppliers;
- Ensure high-quality and consistent execution of all launches across markets, balancing central guidelines with local needs and constraints;
- Support markets in the rollout of animations and launches, ensuring compliance with Brand standards from design validation to production and installation;
- Oversee the development of activation toolkits (guidelines, POSM, assets) to support efficient and consistent deployment across regions;
- Continuously improve ways of working, tools, and processes to increase speed, efficiency, and clarity in execution;
- Lead and support a team of Project Managers, ensuring clear priorities, workload balance, and strong delivery across all projects.
- Manage temporary budget and oversee PO creation and follow-up, ensuring cost control and alignment with project priorities.
Required qualifications:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience preferably in luxury beauty with global exposure
- University graduate/ Business School degree / Creative background
- Fluent in English and French.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Creative softwares (Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketchup in priority)
Skills:
- Strong team management skills and ability to prioritize, balance the workload and keep the team motivated
- Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop strong partnership with Fashion House, colleagues, suppliers
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects (multitask in fast-paced collaborative environment)
- Knowledge of retailers, shoppers, competitors and customers in order to contribute to brand guidelines evolution and adaptation
- Business professional, creative thinker, proactive, detailed oriented and pragmatic with strong Retail approach (capable to balance great attention to aesthetic and design with Markets commercial needs) and cost oriented mindset
