JOB DESCRIPTION

 

JOB TITLE:  Marketing Coordinator       

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

REPORTS TO:  Group Marketing Manager

LOCATION OF JOB:   Toronto area

 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The Marketing Coordinator role is responsible for supporting the team in developing and implementing marketing campaigns; maintaining promotional material inventory; briefing and adapting artwork; planning trainings, events and trade shows; maintaining databases; preparing reports & presentations; and admin tasks. The Marketing Coordinator will be expected to develop strong relationships with all key stakeholders across the organization internally & with any relevant third-party agencies. In order to be successful, the Marketing Coordinator will be required to support a broad brand portfolio by balancing detail orientation with project management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain promotional material inventory, tracking and working cross-functionally to coordinate non-saleable and POP support
  • Collaborate across internal groups to support the development of various campaigns and initiatives
  • Brief agencies on creative including artwork and in-store promotional materials
  • Prepare presentations & communications for stores
  • Coordinate execution of in-store events from start to finish with account executives and account manager, working with budget allocation
  • Provide general support for team including pricing analysis, product forecasting files, planograms, and global product discontinuation and registration tracking.
  • Ad hoc analyses and special projects

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: (Academic, Professional, Relevant Job Knowledge)

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years’ marketing experience in CPG industry
  • Strong business acumen
  • Advanced computer competency (PowerPoint & Excel)

 

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Needs to work well under pressure and be able to adhere to timelines, while prioritizing workload and optimizing resources
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, someone who leads by example & has strong team building skills
  • Ability to establish strong rapport at all levels, both internal and external
  • Excellent analytical, interpretive, interpersonal, and presentation skills are a must
  • Must be organized, disciplined and detail-oriented
