This role will work on business & systems analysis for our data and reporting projects liaising closely between our US DTC business team, media teams and our data and reporting team, to ensure correct scoping and delivery of reporting solutions for our US reporting landscape which includes DTC Direct to Consumer (DTC), Paid Media, Web Analytics, and CRM.

 

The Senior BI Analyst: 

  • Ability to quickly learn end to end processes, and key reporting KPIs across different business areas eg Direct To Consumer Sales and Paid Media Advertising.
  • Capture, manage and prioritize business requirements from several business teams.
  • Work with Power BI reporting and technical data team to identify correct solutions and timelines to deliver business data and reporting requirements.
  • Build proof of concept Power BI models and reports.
  • Work with Director of Data Systems Automation to identify new and additional data sources and reporting solutions required.
  • Setup and run regular requirement and delivery feedback processes with business to keep on top of changing business priorities in a dynamic and reactive operational environment.
  • Stay up to date with latest Power BI reporting features, industry best practices for data management and data processing using frameworks such as DBT.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor success. Even when delivered, reporting solutions and need monitoring. Understanding current and changing reporting KPIs and their meaning, checking delivered solution remains current and useful, being curious and investigating anomalies to track down the hidden issues to ensure solution remains fit for purpose.

Collaborate and Align.  Foster collaboration across business, data and reporting teams. 

Communicate clearly and efficiently. Setting clear expectations, and frequent communication are key for success. 

Understand that ‘real boats rock’.  All projects have issues, all requirements are incomplete, all implementations are imperfect.  You will not hesitate to raise your hand when you have an issue, a road-block or even messed something up.  We address problems together. 

 

 WHAT YOU’LL BRING

 

You will have:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, or a related field
  • Will have knowledge / experience in at least one or both areas:
    • Understand end to end Direct To Consumer business operations (including Inventory management, Sales, CRM, Finance Reporting).
    • Understand key reporting KPIs for paid media across Social, Programmatic and Traditional offline media (TV, Print, Cinema, OOH).
  • Good understanding of data operations principles, data warehousing, ETL processes
  • Strong experience with SQL.
  • Strong Experience with data visualisation and report modelling in Power BI.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform at a high level in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical data skills - including data lineage, data mapping, process mapping.
  • Engagement skills with multidisciplinary stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to drive pragmatic solutions to reporting and data challenges to enable BI developers to deliver reporting.
  • Proficient in Atlassian JIRA.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, disciplined and methodical approach to requirements gathering and prioritization.
  • Strong team spirit.
  • Pro-active approach to workload

 

Other skills / Qualifications:

  • Understanding agile methodologies and JIRA/Confluence tools.
  • An understanding of data management/ transformation technologies such as DBT / Data Bricks.
  • Energetic can-do attitude; autonomous and motivated.
  • Team player with strong passion for winning and a bias for action and taking ownership when problem solving.

 

THE TEAM

This role is part of Coty’s Digital Technology Data platform Team which in turn supports the Digital Organization within Coty across Web, DTC, Social, CRM, and Media.

You will join a small, but energized and ambitious team building and operating a modern data platform. Our responsibilities cover:

 

  • Digital data collection across all of Coty’s brands globally
  • Data ingest and transformation building a quality data asset used for activation, reporting, and insights.
  • We operate mainly on AWS, but also have initiatives on GCP and Azure.

Base Salary Range: $140,000-$155,000 + bonus
