Senior Analyst, Tax

We are looking for a Sr. Analyst to support the goals of the Tax department and its customers.  In Corporate Tax, we strive to be seen not as a cost center but rather a value driver.  This effort is driven by a small but dedicated team that leverages all its collective experience and skillsets to drive efficiency and effectiveness.  This role will give the ideal candidate exposure into all areas of tax, including compliance, provision, planning, and forecasting. 





Key tasks of the individual are to support the Corporate Tax department in the Tax Compliance and Tax Accounting functions. This role requires the candidate to utilize research skills, prepare tax work papers and documentation, prepare tax provisions, participate in tax planning, and recognize and communicate potential risks. This role requires excellent communication skills to work with other departments in gathering the information needed for tax filings and utilize tax software applications to complete tax returns and tax provision for review.


In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Calculating and preparing quarterly estimated tax payments and vouchers for both federal and state.
  • Assisting in research and resolution of various federal and state income and non-income tax audits and notices.
  • Supporting the U.S. federal and state income tax return process by performing supporting tax calculations and gathering relevant data.
  • Analyzing and interpreting changes to Federal tax laws and its impact to the tax return and/or financial statements.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual tax provision by analyzing tax accounts and reserves, including calculating book-to-tax adjustments and return-to-provision adjustments.
  • Proactively identifying and implementing process improvements that promote efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintaining records and documentation to ensure that internal controls comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • Assisting with monitoring and maintaining the corporate tax department budget, including creating purchase orders, payment of invoices and cash and accrual reconciliations, to ensure compliance with spending guidelines.
  • Collaborating with Accounting, Payroll, Legal, IT and other internal teams.
  • Supporting special projects as they arise, including merger and acquisition activity.





To be successful in this role, you will need solid professional experience from a public accounting firm with a strong understanding of tax compliance and tax provision work.  In line with our motto of doing more with less, you must be detail oriented and not be afraid to think outside the box.  You must bring excellent communications skills and a strong team player attitude.  We are looking for a proven ability to multitask and work under strict deadlines. 


We’d love to see candidates who have:


  • 3 to 5 years Corporate Tax experience
  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting  
  • Public Accounting firm experience desired
  • CPA (either achieved or in process)



  • Strong communication (Verbal and written) and presentation ability.  Ability to work across different levels in the organization and across different teams to ensure everyone is updated on key timelines and/or decisions
  • Project Management: Organized, structured and always have an overview of all the deliverables. You know how to bring multiple projects to a successful ending within the given timeframe.
  • Ability to drive clarity and agility: You don’t get easily stressed by a fluid environment, on the opposite, you get energized by the opportunity to drive clarity for the team, you are quick to adapt as new information becomes available.
  • Team player with strong passion for winning and a bias for action. You believe in strong collaboration, leverage diversity of thinking and love to win. You are future oriented, are not bounded by the status-quo but recognize what can be improved and have a bias for action.
  • Tax Software proficiency: Working knowledge of tax technology systems (Corptax and OneSource) relative to both tax compliance and tax provision areas.
