Under the leadership of our CEO Sue Y. Nabi, The Global CDO is currently building a holistic 360 digital organization, focusing on centers of expertise and a strong countries/Brands animation. This centralization of all digital activities will accelerate our transformation & its impacts. We will build scalable technical capabilities to support our growth and challenges, put Content at the heart of our transformation journey to boost our revenue, develop a data driven Media strategy focusing on ROI and innovations, embrace the sales potential coming from Social commerce, break the silos between Media, Content and sales channel, unlock the D2C potential focusing on Kylie, Kim and our Skincare brands, bring CRM capabilities & expertise to catch up our delay in Consumer centricity and build an Innovation team to enhance consumer experience on Fragrance, Make up & Skincare and unlock the opportunities created by new digital capabilities.

THE ROLEwill empower beauty experience for consumers by creating new services, new solutions and reinventty.

The Manager Innovation will help support the future of Beauty for Coty, working closely with the Senior Director and partnering with key stakeholders from IT, Marketing, R&D, Countries, Supply, Digital (Media, Content, D2C, Indirect Ecommerce, Social commerce and CRM) and HR. It is a highly transversal role.

The Manager will be a critical player in the company’s digital transformation by helping to implement and manage a services innovation roadmap, while partnering closely with the China/APAC affiliate teams to develop market-specific programs. This individual will be focused on APAC/Chinese digital-first activations, identifying first-to-market opportunities, sharing key localized trends, and innovative ways to integrate into existing/emerging channels.

He/She will use also leverage resources internally and externally to deliver quick results against specific problems or challenges.

As Manager Innovation & Beauty Tech, the candidate will empower beauty experience for consumer by supporting new services, new solutions and reinventing beauty. Service will be put at the heart of consumer engagement and the candidate will help set up this proposition as a key differentiator. These services will have to be addressed in an omnichannel angle (D2C, Social Networks, eRetail, PPlayers, CRM and Retail) with full GDPR compliance.

Detailed Roles and Responsibilities : Roles and Responsibilities:

In this full-time role, you will:

  • Manage the prioritization of beauty tech projects and services with a focus on China/APAC, working in close partnership with the Digital Tech team to ensure implementation
  • Lead strategy calls with the China teams to assess the business and identify market needs
  • Identify opportunities for innovation within the Chinese digital ecosystem
  • Keep up with emerging online trends in the marketplace to assist in developing customized programs
  • Effectively communicate new initiatives and programs to all teams
  • Be responsible for performance analysis of beauty tech pilots and implemented services, focused on utilization rates and adoption by customers; this will include looking at insights and interpreting them for the brand teams
  • Promote governance for in-market strategy execution and performance assessment by providing KPI framework and sharing best practices

You will deploy in collaboration with our brands/Countries the innovative services that will improve our consumer experience and allow us to differentiate from our competitors.

For each innovation project, you will operate through a POC with a brand/country to test, learn and optimize before rolling out to all the group. Data collection and GDPR Compliance will remain key topics for any POC deployment.


You will report into the Senior Director and work hand in hand with the CDO team, CB & Lux Global Brand team, Countries, IT, HR, Supply Chain and R&D.

Key Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business development, communication or digital marketing
  • 5+ years in beauty or FMCG experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must have at least 3+ years in digital with a clear understanding of the key pillars of digital (Eco, CRM, Content, Earned & Owned)
  • Knowledge and expertise around digital tools and analytics. Strong understanding of business KPI
  • Fluent in Mandarin (written and spoken) and English
