Director, Global Consumer & Brand Marketing




COTY is looking for smart leaders who are fast and passionate. In an effort to reinforce the business and the desirability of a major beauty brand, we seek a marketing professional to be responsible for the strategic development of consumer marketing & brand engagement to support business globally. Along with the Global Senior Vice President, the Global Marketing Director of Consumer Marketing & Brand Engagement for CALVIN KLEIN and MARC JACOBS will play a leadership role in providing strategic guidance and marketing thought to deliver the most effective and innovative brand support plans in gifting, promotions and brand events for the existing portfolios.   


The Marketing Director will lead all cross-functional teams on all projects internally, and the multiple creative partners externally, to deliver robust, innovative, on-brand and high-quality go-to-market programs.

This position will develop the career paths of supporting planning staff, as well as play an integral role in supporting and delivering company values and goals on a daily basis. The Marketing Director will effectively leverage experience, knowledge and skills to encourage innovative thinking and set challenging team goals and objectives balancing brand, company and team needs.


The Marketing Director will report primarily into the Senior Vice President with a strong collaboration with the Trademarketing VP.  Key stakeholders include the Brand Marketing Vice President and the license, managing the relationship with its counter-part and the approval process regarding key event moment concepts & thematic storytelling; visual communication & merchandising; gifting collections; and gift set designs.

The Marketing Director is a well-rounded marketing professional with experience in the fragrance industry, a background in selective distribution and license experience to lead and evolve the brands’ presence globally, aligned to the broader strategies and objectives of the business.




  • Lead the global Calvin Klein & Marc Jacobs Consumer & Brand Marketing team to define & deliver the annual year Consumer & Brand Marketing vision and plan that grows global market share. 
  • Develop & lead Calvin Klein & Marc Jacobs consumer marketing strategic plan, including thematic concepts; gifting accessories (GWP / PWP, etc.) and set strategy and corresponding creatives; visual communication; instore visualization; gifting and set strategy, offers and designs in line with brand equity.
  • Develop global consumer marketing events with cohesive 360 programs that are consistent at all touchpoints.
  • Partner with trademarketing, brand leaders, marketing teams to ensure launch mixes are consumer relevant, globally impacting and strengthen the brand equity.
  • Responsible for defining winning line-up, optimum costs targets and forecasting with the help of LCM and Trade.
  • Drive Internal development and partner with Gift Set Initiative Leader, Supply and MMS to manage operational processes and deliver OTIF.
  • Drive external relationships including creative and design agencies (packaging, concepting & advertising/communication).
  • Present and influence both external partners (creative agencies, license, retailers) and internal stakeholders (market leaders, cross-functional teams, senior leadership). 
  • Partner with Global Trademarketing to ensure key strategic market needs are integrated into global plans while also ensuring global guidelines meet local market needs
  • Lead post-launch analysis (Holidays / KCP) in collaboration with CMI and Trade Team.  Serve as category expert through ongoing analysis, industry trends and knowledge of consumer promotions within Luxury Fragrances. 
  • Lead, coach drive & develop team of 2 to foster a culture of innovation and partnership while ensuring best-in-class 360 marketing plans and execution.
  • Master the commercialization process to ensure a maximum of innovation within the required timelines to achieve maximum launch success.
  • Contribute to the overall brand P&L through driving recommendations and decisions to achieve the brand’s global objectives.  Manage Gift Sets P&L and Promotheus offering for Gifting tool box.
  • Provide direction and spearhead the development with all cross functional teams.
  • Manage the overall budget and work with Finance to insure all programs are supported in a fiscally responsible manner.



  • 7 years of related marketing experience
  • Undergraduate degree required.  MBA a plus
  • Prestige/luxury brand experience preferred
  • Should demonstrate a passion for the fragrance business
  • Must have the potential to assume increased responsibility

  • Needs to exhibit a keen ability to conceptualize new concepts, analyze competitive activity, and formulate recommendations to gain market share.
  • Must be an excellent team player; possessing the ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of members of the cross-functional and affiliate teams.
  • Must be mature, responsible, accountable, organized and must possess the potential to manage and develop direct reports
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication, analytical, creative and computer skills.
