Assistant Manager, Trade Marketing

We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Assistant Trade Marketing Manager to join the Global Philosophy team, reporting to the Global Trade Marketing Director Philosophy with a strong relationship with key internal stakeholders and managing the relationship with commercial counterparts. Along with the Global Director Trade Marketing, the Global Trade Assistant Marketing Manager will play a key role in providing strategic commercial guidance to deliver projected Net Revenues Growth and Market Share Gain worldwide.


The Assistant Trade Marketing Manager will work with the markets to deliver robust, innovative, on-brand and high-quality launch and activations programs.


The Assistant Trade Marketing Manager is a well-rounded commercial / marketing professional with experience in the fragrance and /or skincare  industry, a background in selective distribution preferably to lead and evolve the brands’ presence globally, aligned to the broader strategies and objectives of the business.




In this role you will be responsible for:

Global Brand management

  • Help in the coordination of the 3Y strategic plan development in ensuring right level of Brand A&CP model, of launch innovation rate and commercial initiatives partnering with Trade and Brand VPs / Directors and 360 teams.
  • Being the voice of brand and marketing partner for the markets, support brand growth, contribute to strategic marketing plans definition and implementation in the markets
  • Assist in Co-defining Commercial Guidelines and ensure that defined strategy is well implemented (OGSM / Product /Distribution / Price/ Promo / Media)
  • Contribute to the assortment strategy and management of product lines.


Operational forecasts – sizing of new initiatives

  • Responsible for defining winning line-up, initiative sizing and right price positioning with the help of Lifecycle Management (supply) and Brand Teams.
  • Be the interface between Consumer & Brand Marketing and Markets to ensure promotional support (giftSets ,GWP, PWP) is aligned with market needs and drive program sizing (revised forecast)


Strategic planning

  • Ensure that regions/markets needs are perfectly captured, consolidated, and integrated in the global brand toolkits


Reporting and analysis

  • Consolidate trade plans, monitoring results, providing key learning and recommendations.
  • Provide overview of brand overall performance in regions and define white space / opportunities.
  • Help in the preparation of topline executive business reviews to Brand Leadership team
  • Provide monthly brand performance to the Brand team and leadership team
  • Lead commercial readiness to ensure respect of the timelines to achieve maximum launch success.
  • Prepare and lead all monthly reports for the Commercial Global Team





We’d love to see candidates who have:



  • 4 year Undergraduate Degree in Marketing or Related Field, MBA preferred
  • 4+ years related trade/marketing experience in marketing
  • Prestige/luxury brand experience preferred
  • Must be autonomous, decisive, with a strategic thinking
  • Must have the potential to assume increased responsibility
  • Foster best practice thinking
  • Must have ability to manage complexity
  • Must have good business acumen and be results/success oriented
  • Must be an excellent team player; possessing the ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of members of the cross-functional, affiliate teams and Fashion House
  • Must be mature, responsible, accountable, organized and must possess the potential to manage and develop direct report
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication, analytical, creative and computer skills
  • Excellent Microsoft skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
