Toxicologist

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Coordination of E2E development for in-house and TPM cosmetic preparations for brands Marc Jacobs and Kylie/SKKN from marketing brief to accepted formulas for product integrity evaluation and for internal/external testing
• Assessment of safety compliance for new formulas
• Help to support quality or regulatory issues related to any safety concerns
• Help to support Cosmetovigilance team when adverse events happening on in-house makeup formulas
• Safety evaluation for in house developed formulas
• Assessment of dossiers around product integrity
• Qualification and assessment of safety of raw materials
• Preparation of pre assessment for formula in development
• Preparation of final safety assessments for formulas incl all P&I evaluation/test results
• Raw material dossier review and qualification for new ingredients
• Review and issuing of impurities level for each new formula
• Help of follow up of regulatory and safety updates on ingredients with implementation of internal database

We’d love to see candidates who have:

Essential:

• Master’s degree in toxicology or related field
• One to three years’ work experience with product safety tasks
• Provide product safety support in the R&D environment, with creative thinking skills and a flexible mindset
• Ability to communicate technical information in English to convey positions clearly and explain complex technical issues
• Adapts leadership style to situations & people, finds the right balance between delegation & control
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Good communication skills
• Collaborate effectively and build strong relationships, both independently and as part of a team, with diverse groups of people at various levels within the organization
• Ability to manage projects running concurrently
• Ability to meet deadlines while being flexible to changes in priorities and interruptions
• Understanding of basic product safety and risk assessment principals
• Familiarity with toxicological endpoints
