The supply planner position is responsible for ensuring appropriate inventory levels to support the market demand plan and strategy. Establish strategic collaboration with factories and global deployment team to ensure network supply strategies including inventory policies are established with service, cost, and cash balance. Have a focus to ensure excess and obsolete inventory is always not created. Provide regular market facing supply and service analysis including top projected missed dollars and actions plans along with historical analysis and gap to targets.  In this full-time role, you will report into the Sr Manager, Hair Market Planning, Retail Hair – Wella.




  • Fill Rate tracking and reporting
  • Data extraction from JDA, SAP and other systems to support Manager with analysis on product availability status
  • Inventory deployment as needed in SAP to ensure targeted coverage.
  • Collaboration with DRP team in Planning Hub on production prioritization to ensure market needs are reflected & Fill Rate is on target
  • Collaboration with multifunctional team on current brand & channel needs in terms of product availability & providing regular updates
  • Forecast changes request assessment and alignment with Commercial team through Incremental Supply Assessments (ISA’s) and with Planning Hub.
  • Portfolio ABC Classification based on shipments and forecast for proper prioritization and classification.
  • Proactive communication of potential supply crisis, developing risk mitigation proposals
  • Drive alignment of safety/cycle stock parameters, minimum order quantities, and other system parameters to improve the inventory coverage within the region




You excel at collaboration with multi-functional teams and are passionate regarding supply planning. Strong communicator with excellent analytical skills in inventory. The ability to put action plans into place to ensure accurate forecasting, product availability and balancing cost. You bring knowledge and enthusiasm to your work.


  • 1-3 years of Inventory or Supply Planning experience (knowledge of DRP and/or MPS/MRP process, inventory theory and parameters)
  • 1-3 years working with multifunctional teams
  • Solid technical skills in SAP, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience owning measures and improving results
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Aptitude for problem solving
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Demand Planning experience is a plus
  • Planning systems: SAP & Manugistics knowledge is preferred
