The Rimmel London team is looking for a high profile Marketing Manager. Reporting to the Brand Director, this role will give you full ownership of the Complexion + Colour side of the brand; you will be responsible for launching skincare, driving Face as the #1 segment in the makeup category + leading a movement towards a digitalised future.


You will have full ownership to drive the brand vision and strategy. Cascading effectively to your direct team and cross -function to deliver against agreed business objectives of sales, profit and market share. You will have management and deployment of a category-leading marketing budget.


You will be intellectually curious to understand the category and brand performance drivers through our many & varied data sources. You will be agile and persistent in discovering insights through data, and using your natural tenacity to convert these into commercial plans.


To be successful in this role, you will need strong passion and strength in consumer, customer and market understanding and insights to develop creative and innovative solutions to win in the marketplace, managing by objectives to consistently deliver success.


You will need to work with and through others, winning the hearts & minds of the cross functional team to create winning strategies and executing every element on-time and in-full.

In this role, no days are the same. The key responsibilities include:


Brand Strategy and Management:

  • Create and lead the UK vision for Rimmel, influencing the Global team to deliver against the UK brand ambitions. To embed this internally and externally by consistently presenting with passion and conviction.
  • Full ownership and responsibility for the brand, including full empowerment to drive decisions which impact commercial and profit growth.
  • A media expert, with a focus on breakthrough digital and social.
  • Create best-in-class in-store activation, including digital and virtual try-ons.
  • Full ownership of landing NPD launches, and core re-support activations.
  • Working effectively with cross functional teams to develop and execute a  category-leading  brand agenda.  Positively driving commitment with the trade marketing, sales team, and other internal and external stakeholders to minimally deliver success in line with the net sales and profit targets.
  • To create a true partnership with the global brand teams and brand owners. Effectively influence them to deliver mid & long-term plans set for success in the UK Constantly and inspiringly communicate UK market needs and brand performance. Be a champion for the UK and positively influence global/brand owners to receive the activations we need to succeed in-market.
  • Demonstrate leadership and insight based action planning at all key internal meetings: including S&OP planning and all cross functional meetings.



Marketing investment

  • Full ownership for creating and delivering the marketing investment strategies for the both brands, driving team & agency to execute in line
  • Accountable for Media/digital budget delivery across allocated projects
  • Be a champion of new new and more efficient ways to drive awareness and conversion with the target consumers, through digital, social media.
  • Gain strong partnership with the global teams to ensure that all required assets are delivered on time and in-full.



Retailer Amplification

  • True and inspiring partner with the sales and trade marketing teams, integrated comms and insight teams to deliver brand strategy and NPD presentations to key customers
  • To be the champion of our retailers, understanding their needs in detail and partnering with senior management to ensure that Rimmel consistently shows best-in-class execution in-store and online.
  • Partner with Trade Marketing to amplify brand plans for key retailers.



  • Discover insights and create action plans on the brand, using our many data sources to create fact based strategies and activations.
  • Be the champion of the consumer, understanding their needs and wants. To understand and tap into the social zeitgeist to best position the Kylie and Kim brands 



  • Full brand P&L responsibility. Always articulate and ability to use finance data as the basis for future action planning.
  • Responsible for managing the full A&CP budget of your category, monitoring and communicating spend in line with agreed level.


Team Management

  • Win hearts and minds of the team, both within the brand marketing team and across functions. Inspire with a vision and build a strong internal network. Be the visionary that drives the engagement and interest in these brands, gaining visibility and excitement for these powerful brands.
  • Use every opportunity to have a development conversation. Positively reinforce strong capability and performance, use experience to nurture and coach to higher levels of performance.
  • In this role you will have a team of three direct reports



  • Previous strong marketing leadership beauty experience for minimum 8 years
  • Proactive with a can do attitude: It is key that you embrace all challenges and welcome them with a positive mindset and a hands on approach. We are looking for someone that can focus on what needs to be true to make something happen, not the reasons why they can’t make it happen.

  • Degree in related discipline or equivalent.
