Are you looking for a challenge with huge potential for growth? We are recruiting for an exciting hybrid Brand Manager / Commercial Trade Marketing Manager role. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth for one of the UK’s most loved beauty brands.

You will have responsibility for creating the future brand strategy and be the guardian of the brand equity, ensuring flawless execution in line with the global guidelines.

You will be responsible for the brand commercials, making sure constantly track performance and course correct plans where necessary to meet our financial commitments.

You will need strong communication skills to align all internal stakeholders, including functions such as sales, finance, merchandising, supply chain and global marketing.

You will also contribute to the positive marketing team culture. Driving energy, a positive impatience, and a willingness to share and help your colleagues to succeed.


Brand Strategy and Management:

  • With support from the Marketing Manager, you will have full ownership and responsibility for the brand, identifying risks and opportunities to build growth plans in line with business targets and brand goals.
  • Be a UK consumer and market champion working closely with and influencing global teams to build strong activation plans in line with the UK brand objectives.
  • Develop and deliver local initiative launch plans in collaboration with internal key stakeholders (e.g. sales team, supply chain, brand finance).
  • Identify from the global pipeline the next big UK NPD and lead the go to market plans including benchmarking, initiative sizing, retailer sell in and launch activation.
  • Present the UK brand plans and strategy to retailers with support of our Sales teams.
  • Working with the internal & international merchandising teams to manage the design and production of local POS elements, ensure they follow both Global guidelines and UK market requirements.


  • Responsible for media plan & execution of ATL and BTL activation across the media mix.
  • Liaise with PR/ Influencer Marketing team to drive reach, engagement and advocacy.
  • Be the brand’s digital lead, managing our organic social and community management.

Trade Marketing

  • Set and drive the execution of the brand’s retailer strategy, steering and monitoring implementation to ensure Coty wins in-store and online ahead of competitors.
  • Own the creation and deployment of the 4Ps (Product, Place, Pricing & Promotion) including driving decisions which impact its growth through fact-based analysis.
  • Lead the brand’s portfolio strategy & priorities, brand activation calendar; promotional strategy, benchmarking; and initiative sizing.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to land NPD launches, promotional activations, as well as ensuring core franchises grow and the development of customer both in-store and online.


  • Providing regular analysis and reporting of brand performance data (sell-in, sell-out) via EPOS and promotional analysis, influencing the sales teams for corrective action, whilst managing communication with global teams.
  • Conducting qualitative & quantitative analysis on brand performance
  • Monitor competitor activity, trends, trade activity, with view to finding new opportunities to win in market.
  • Monitor compliance with global guidelines whilst sharing local best practice.


  • Full responsibility for the local brand P&L making sure all decisions are delivering vs target KPIs and profitability targets. Monthly P&L monitoring vs forecast, promotional mechanic analysis, tracking profitability and monitoring marketing spend.
  • Along with internal cross divisional teams, co-manage the S&OP process, driving insights and actions for the accurate forecast for new and ongoing stock forecasts.
  • Ownership of the brand marketing budget – responsible for phasing, forecasting and investment decisions.


  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a Business related degree preferable.
