THE BRAND & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Calling all Assistant Brand Managers and Brand Managers! Are you looking to take a step up by working for a big brand with an exciting roadmap of activities and innovation? Do you love makeup? Rimmel is the UK’s #1 makeup brand and we’re looking for an amazing Brand Manager to join our high performing & energetic team. If you’re excited by beauty and want to experience working on a fast-paced brand with real ownership, then this could be the perfect role for you.
We’re looking for someone who is bursting with passion for the category, full of ideas, extremely proactive and has a head for analysis and numbers. You will be curious to understand what drives performance, what we can do to optimize and be ready to roll your sleeves up to implement your ideas. To succeed in this role, you will also need to be a strong communicator (the local brand team works with lots of other teams from sales to design, from global brand to agencies and more!), a problem solver and have an eye for creative. On top of this, you will also need to be fully embedded in consumer beauty trends and understand how/when we should participate.
We also work with a lot of data – this is a commercial role after all – so you will be someone who likes to understand data, find the insights, and then turn those insights into actions and opportunities to drive our market share.
As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in helping to continue our positive team attitude, we like to have fun while we deliver against our goals. No day is the same on Rimmel so high energy and a can-do mindset are a must.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Brand Strategy & Management
- With support from MM, you will have full leadership and responsibility of the Nail segment and KCPs (Key Consumption Periods e.g. Halloween, Christmas etc.), identifying market risks and opportunities to build growth plans in line with business targets and brand goals.
- Be a U.K and market champion for your categories. Working closely with our global team to build strong activation plans for our local market.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to manage the design and production of local POS elements, ensuring they follow both Global guidelines and UK market requirements.
- Support with global innovation pipeline for the Nail category + KCP activities with initiative sizing, retailer sell ins and launch activation.
Media/E-Commerce
- Understanding of the media landscape and media plan, driving new thinking for activations for your categories and our audience.
- Collaborating with internal PR/ Influencer Marketing team to drive consumer engagement and off and online reach.
- Collaborating with Digital Brand Manager to develop activations for your categories across organic & paid, as well as driving social support with key retailers.
- Working closely with the E-comm team to drive an online mentality, finding disruptive ideas and best in class execution across product launches.
Analysis
- Undertaking pre & post analysis of launches and promotions.
- Performance and brand analysis of your categories on a monthly basis.
- Analysis of market trends, competitor activations and wider segment reviews.
Finance
- Local project management P&L assessment to ensure investments are delivering vs target KPIs and profitability targets.
- Work with internal teams on forecasts of all new initiatives and correct phasing in line with our sell-out ambitions.
- Along with internal cross divisional teams, support the Marketing Manager on the co-management of the S&OP process, driving insights and actions for the accurate forecast for new and ongoing stock forecasts.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a Business related degree preferable.
- Previous experience in a similar role. Ideally at BM level currently but not essential.
- Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong and demonstrable passion for the beauty industry.
- Financial acumen.
