WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Rimmel London team is looking for an ambitious brand manager. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role will give you full ownership for the Face category putting you in the driving seat to create and deliver marketing plans, within an allocated budget to achieve agreed objectives of sales, profit, market share & campaign metrics.

In this role, no days are the same. The key responsibilities include:
Brand Strategy and Management:
- Full ownership and responsibility for the Face category. Identify market risks and opportunities to build growth plans in line with business targets and brand goals.
- Manage implementation of all brand activities on the Face category
- Bring in depth consumer understanding to develop and implement consumer led NPD and communication program
- Be a UK consumer and market champion working closely with our global team to build strong activation plans fit for the UK in line with the UK brand objectives
- Identify from the global pipeline the next big UK NPD and lead the go to market plans including benchmarking, initiative sizing, retailer sell in and launch activation
- Co-lead (with sales and trade marketing) meetings with retail customers to align on mutually beneficial growth strategies and plan

Media:
- Responsibility for the full media plan across Face category
- Understanding the media market and media plan, driving through new thinking to drive trial with the target consumers.
- Collaborate with Influencer Manager to inform the brands influencers’ strategy and plan and realise earned media opportunities.
- Collaborate with Digital Brand Manager to inform the brands Digital Strategy, Ecosystem and always-on plans, as well as development of NPD/Initiatives specific activations.
- Oversee execution of best in class ATL and BTL activation across the full media mix.
Analysis
- Providing regular analysis and reporting of business performance data (sell-in, sell-out, consumer panel), as well as competitor tracking.
Finance
- Mastery of the P&L of the brand/category, identifying opportunities to drive top & bottom line.
- Responsible for managing the full A&CP budget of the category, monitoring and communicating spend in line with agreed level.
- Direct and supervise all team members with relation to tracking of spend and budget of their respective areas. Ensure all budget trackers are maintained correctly.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Analytical skill + data driven: a super data driven individual, preferably with experience using systems such as Nielsen/IRI/Kantar/NPD/AdCard. You know that data wins over opinion but you also use available data to inform your gut when there are gaps.
- Passion & Creativity: You demonstrate a passion for beauty and for Rimmel London with a strong appreciation towards the art of beauty marketing as well as a solid understanding of digital media and activation. You’re all over both beauty + marketing trends and use them to inform your ideas.
- Able to hit the ground running: Current BM level within FMCG, ideally beauty. Demonstrates a strong understanding of brand management/marketing in a retail environment.
- Proactive with a can-do attitude: It is key that you embrace all challenges and welcome them with a positive mindset and a hands-on approach. We are looking for someone that can focus on what needs to be true to make something happen, not the reasons why they can’t make it happen. You will be a self-starter, generating ideas and seeing them through.
- Organised: You have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure. Our environment is fast paced.
- Team player: You can develop and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally and be a good team player, contributing to the total brand + cross functional team dynamics.

- Ideally degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
