THE BRAND & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Rimmel London team is looking for a high profile Brand Manager. Reporting to the Brand Director, this role will give you full ownership of the Eye category.
You will have a high-level input (together with the wider Brand team) in creating the future brand strategy for Rimmel, across the Eye Category. You are the guardian of the brand equity and will ensure flawless execution in line with the global guidelines.
In this role you will need to work with and through others, winning the heart & mind of your direct report supporting on the eye category. Coaching will be a big part of your role ensuring we continue to nurture talent as a team.
You will have responsibility for a significant commercial plan, ensuring that we minimally meet our financial commitments. A constant understanding of the commercial delivery is required to course correct plans, leading to maximizing return on marketing investment.
You will be intellectually curious to understand the category and brand performance drivers through our many & varied data sources. You will be agile and persistent in discovering insights through data, and using your natural tenacity to convert these into commercial opportunities and plans.
Your strong communication skills are vital to align all internal stakeholders, including functions such as sales, COMEX, finance, visual merchandising and supply chain. The partnership with global marketing needs to be built on trust, constant communication and aligned objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Brand Strategy and Management:
Full ownership and responsibility for the Eye category. Identify market risks and opportunities to build growth plans in line with business targets and brand goals.
Lead overall brand planning cycle for Rimmel working closely with and coaching the other brand managers
Develop and deliver local initiative launch plans in collaboration with internal key stakeholders (e.g. sales team, trade marketing, brand finance) and external partners (e.g. media agency).
Bring in depth consumer understanding to develop and implement consumer led NPD and communication program
Be a UK consumer and market champion working closely with our global team to build strong activation plans fit for the UK in line with the UK brand objectives
Identify from the global pipeline the next big UK NPD and lead the go to market plans including benchmarking, initiative sizing, retailer sell in and launch activation
Co-lead (with sales and trade marketing) meetings with retail customers to align on mutually beneficial growth strategies and plan
Working with the internal & international merchandising teams to manage the design and production of local POS elements, ensure they follow both Global guidelines and UK market requirements.
Managing and organizing potential experiential events for the brand from concept through to creation.
Media:
Lead the annual media briefing for the overall brand working closely with the other brand managers
Responsibility for the full media plan
Understanding the media market and media plan, driving through new thinking to drive trial with the target consumers.
Liaising with internal PR/ Influencer Marketing team to drive consumer engagement and off and online reach.
Collaborate with Digital Brand Manager to inform the brands Digital Strategy, Ecosystem and always-on plans, as well as development of NPD/Initiatives specific activations.
Oversee execution of best in class ATL and BTL activation across the full media mix
Analysis
Conducting pre and post analysis of launches and promotions – qualitative and quantitative.
Brand analysis and share reporting on a monthly basis providing insights to relevant team members.
Finance
Local brand management including P&L steering to make sure all brand investments are delivering vs target KPIs and profitability targets.
Along with internal cross divisional teams, co-manage the S&OP process, driving insights and actions for the accurate forecast for new and ongoing stock forecasts.
Work with internal teams on forecasts of all new initiatives and correct phasing in line with our sell-out ambitions.
Team management
In this role you will have the opportunity to manage an Assistant brand manager providing coaching and support to ensure they grow and develop.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
Current BM level within FMCG. Demonstrates a strong understanding of brand management/marketing in a retail environment.
A strong financials acumen, understanding the details of P&L drivers and management.
