THE BRAND & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is one of the  most important portfolios of leading Luxury Fragrance and Skincare brands in the UK. Reporting to Marketing VP you will lead the highly talented brand team to develop and deliver a compelling strategic vision and winning marketing plans.

 

You will be a business leader. Driving business change and tangible improvements through visionary leadership and cross functional people development.

 

You will be responsible for setting the vision for the brands in the UK, making strategic choices to drive sustainable growth; as well as setting the direction for the team to successfully launch product and commercial innovations, integrated communication plans, and inspiring shoppers across all consumer touch points.

 

You will have exceptional commercial management skills, carefully balancing value share and sales delivery with the profitability that unlocks future brand investment. Combined with creating strong partnerships with retailer management to ensure that the brands are highly visible and prioritised over competitor brands.

 

You will coach, develop and direct a high performance and high potential team to build effective partnerships with all internal functions and external agencies, to ensure best in class execution of plans and campaigns. You will help develop your reports to create an internal talent pipeline to fuel the future leaders for Coty.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need exceptional marketing leadership skills, proven ability to coach and develop teams to higher levels of performance and strong passion for the beauty and fragrance categories.

 

You will need to be adept at identifying and quickly capitalising on consumer and commercial insights, using complex and multiple data sources for creating single minded strategies. Influencing at levels upto the CEO, working with global strategy teams to ensure that the brand strategies are aligned and receive all of the required inputs to deliver out-performance in the UK.

 

Analytical skills are a must, creating fact based rationale to explain performance and use as a road-map for sustained and consistent success.

 

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Brand Strategy and Management:

  • Create and lead the UK vision for your brand portfolio, in line with global strategy & the vision of the Fashion Houses. A marketing expert in creating category leading strategies that drive out-performance in the short and mid-term. To embed this internally and externally by consistently presenting with passion and conviction.
  • Full ownership and responsibility for the brand, including full empowerment to drive decisions which impact commercial and profit growth.
  • A media expert, with a focus on breakthrough digital and social.
  • Create best-in-class in-store activation, in partnership with the global and visual merchandising teams.
  • Full ownership of landing NPD launches, and core re-support activations.
  • Working effectively with cross functional teams to develop and execute a  category-leading  brand agenda.  Positively driving commitment with the trade marketing, sales team, and other internal and external stakeholders to minimally deliver success in line with the net sales and profit targets.
  • To create a true partnership with the global brand teams and brand owners. Effectively influence them to deliver mid & long-term plans set for success in the UK. Consistent and inspiring communication to the global teams of the UK market needs and brand performance. Be a champion for the UK and positively influence global/brand owners to receive the activations vital for in-market success.
  • Demonstrate leadership and insight based action planning at all key internal meetings: including S&OP planning and all cross functional meetings.


 

 

 

Marketing investment

  • Full ownership for creating and delivering the marketing investment strategies for the portfolio, driving team & agencies to execute with excellence.
  • Be a champion of new and more efficient ways to drive awareness and conversion with the target consumers, through digital & social media.
  • Gain strong partnership with the global teams to ensure that all required assets are delivered on-time and in-full.


Retailer Amplification

  • True and inspiring partner with the sales and trade marketing teams, integrated comms and insight teams to deliver brand strategy and NPD presentations to key customers.
  • To be the champion of the flagships and pure beauty players, understanding their needs in detail and partnering with retailer senior management to ensure that the brands consistently show best-in-class execution in-store and online. Drive profitable volume and value through high street and e-commerce channels.


Analysis

  • Discover insights and create action plans on the brand, using our many data sources to create fact based strategies and activations.
  • Be the champion of the consumer, understanding their needs and wants. To understand and tap into the social zeitgeist to best position your brand portfolio and ensure that the brands are craveable. 


Finance

  • Full brand P&L responsibility. High level skills to use finance data as the basis for future action planning.
  • Responsible for managing the full A&CP budget of your category, monitoring and communicating spend in line with agreed level. Gain incremental funds based on winning commercial proposals that deliver exceptional results.

 

Team Management

  • Win hearts and minds of the team, both within the brand marketing team and across functions. Inspire with a vision and build a strong internal network. Be the visionary that drives the engagement and interest in these powerful brands, gaining visibility and excitement at every opportunity.
  • Use every opportunity to have a development conversation. Positively reinforce strong capability and performance, use experience to nurture and coach to higher levels of performance.
  • Be an active member of the UK Marketing Leadership team, raising the profile and capability of the Marketing, Media and Insights team. Be a positive driver of the marketing team culture and values. A true ambassador.
