Direct Report : Commercial Excellence Manager

About the Role

Reporting to the Commercial Excellence Manager, the Commercial Excellence Intern will support the commercial team in driving sales performance, retailer excellence,
data analysis, demand planning, and campaign execution across Coty's portfolio.
This role offers hands-on exposure to commercial operations, sales planning, business analytics, retailer management, and cross-functional collaboration within the beauty industry.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Performance Analysis

• Support the Commercial Excellence team in tracking monthly sales performance, sell-in, sell-out, and stock-in-trade (SIT) metrics.
• Prepare sales reports,and performance summaries for internal business reviews.
• Assist in analysing retailer performance trends and identifying growth opportunities.
• Support monthly demand forecasting and sales planning exercises.

Commercial Planning & Promotions

• Assist in consolidating promotional calendars and ensuring timely updates across retailers.
• Support launch planning activities, stock allocation tracking, and promotional execution monitoring.
• Track promotional investment spending.

Retailer & Business Support

• Assist in maintaining retailer master data, product listings, pricing files, and promotion records.
• Support communication and follow-up on product launches, code changes, product discontinuations, and retailer updates.
• Monitor stock availability and highlight potential stock risks or opportunities.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Retail Excellence, and Sales teams to support commercial initiatives.
• Assist in preparing presentation materials for monthly business reviews and retailer meetings.
• Support ad-hoc commercial projects and business analysis as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Detail-oriented with good organisational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Power BI or data visualisation tools is an added advantage.
