Assistant Commercial Excellence Manager
The Assistant Commercial Excellence Manager role offers influence across Coty’s luxury beauty portfolio in Malaysia. You will strengthen retailer partnerships, grow brand presence, and capture new market opportunities.
THE ROLE

As our Assistant Commercial Excellence Manager, you are responsible for reshaping and expanding the retail footprint of Coty’s brands within Malaysia beauty business landscape.
Reporting to the Commercial Excellence Manager, the role supports the delivery of Coty Malaysia’s Luxury Beauty commercial priorities across assigned retailers.
Key scope covers sales plans, commercial strategy, promotional plans, launches and promotions, market intelligence, retail excellence implementation, 360-degree launch campaign, commercial negotiations, new business opportunities, Coty Brand Image, retailer updates, and achievement of budget targets, annual joint business plan target, common business goals, sell-out, sell-in, stock-in-trade days, market share and launch campaign best practices. This includes:
- Support Commercial Excellence Manager in managing sales plans for assigned portfolios and establishing Coty as the preferred partner for retailers.
- Define commercial strategy for each retailer and develop promotional plans with retailers and marketing to achieve sell-out, sell-in and stock-in-trade days target.
- Plan and budget for launches and promotions, including monthly demand forecasts, supply management, pricing analysis, planning and tracking A&CP.
- Collaborate and co-create with Retail Excellence team and stakeholders to ensure 100% retail excellence implementation, 360-degree launch campaign, monthly sell-out and sell-in analysis, market/brand/consumer intel, and action plans to achieve KPIs.
- Drive market intelligence, field-level commercial negotiations, close customer partnership, new brand listings, new retailers, distribution expansion, new doors, saleable goods forecast, retailer updates on PIPO, code changes and discontinuations, negotiate and implement Coty Brand Image in all doors according to the guidelines established by Merchandiser (i.e. personalized Brand fixtures – where possible)
YOU ARE A COTY FIT
You like to make a difference. As an Assistant Commercial Excellence Manager, you will share your valuable experience with the team, and you get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you should also have the following requirements:
- Minimum 5 years progressive Sales experience in Department Store/ Specialty stores. Experience in Sales/ Key account management within the FMCG industry is advantageous.
- High level of commercial acumen, self-initiative, combined with a drive for results.
- Good team player with proven ability to partner with business leaders and develop tactics.
- Excellence in analytical mind, communication and presentation skills, with entrepreneurship mindset.
- Growth mindset and transformational leadership in retail business, with proficiency in MS Office.
