Middleware Architect

 

The A2A Integration Architect (in short Integration Architect) will provide technical leadership, oversight, standardization and validation of integration and middleware application architecture for A2A interfaces being requested globally. The Architect will work closely with Project Managers, Business Analyst, and other IT groups, providing technical leadership for integration efforts involving distributed Enterprise Applications and Data Integration platform.  He/She will also be the liaison between the local (project) resources and the offshore development team, overseeing development and testing, and executing quality control. The Integration and Middleware Architect will report to the Director A2A Integration.

 

The 3rd party iWay Support team will handle any processing issues on an 1st and 2nd level. 3rd level support will be provided by both the iWay Architects and Developers. Technical issues will be handled by the US and European teams, depending on the time the issue occurred. Data issues will be handled by specific teams depending on the location of the involved customer.

The function is part of the IT department in Coty, which is a global organization handling IT for the entire Coty organization. This role will be part of the Middleware & Business-Related Architecture CoE, that is responsible for Middleware, RPA, collaboration & Java applications, under the Global Architecture & Engineering Center of Excellence in Coty IT.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

As our Integration Architect, besides the operational support you are responsible for the processing and implementation of enhancement and change requests.

 

Your main focus:

  • Design and deployment of application components that are standards based, high performance, highly available, low maintenance, and comply with operational standards and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and demonstrate ownership of the integration platform for consistent usage across projects.
  • Understand the business and customer needs to introduce technical solutions that enlarge the capabilities of the middleware platform.
  • Lead the team for integration/performance testing based on integration and test plan, support UAT and make sure that the interfaces are defect free, have an adequate performance and reliability.
  • Enhance Middleware governance based on best practices and ensure proper alignment business and major initiatives.
  • Understand and contribute to Enterprise IT strategies; adhere to compliance regulations and development guidelines.
  • Oversee and resolve issues relating to security gateway and agency adapter platform, and the associated application and data integration initiatives relying on these environments.
  • Manage special technology projects and initiatives as assigned. 
  • Continuous improvement of existing development, testing, and documentation standards and best practices

The team consists of 14 middleware developers and architects, and you will work closely together with several departments such as SAP expert group, Supply Chain, and Finance. All your colleagues are vibrant and challenging environment.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT

 

You like to manage tasks and collaborate on them with other teams. As a/an experienced Integration Architect, you focus on results and you get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you:

  • University level degree on bachelor level or beyond, or a similar work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience designing and developing middleware applications.
  • 3+ years of experience in interfacing with SAP.
  • Generic understanding of purchasing and sales business processes.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Knowledge of MS-SQL data bases.
  • Strong knowledge of XML Technologies (XML, XSL, XSD, XSLT).
  • Knowledge of SOAP, JSON and REST technologies.
  • Experience implementing message flows using a variety of nodes in message broker.
  • Experience with designing applications using iWay service manager or similar middleware products like Mulesoft, Informatica, SAP CPI, WebMethods, Tibco, Boomi.
  • Ability to plan technical architecture and develop documentation.
  • Solid knowledge of testing.
  • Experience with interface development life cycles.
  • Demonstrated experience working with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Outstanding collaboration and team building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The following capabilities are not required but are an advantage:

  • Java development skills
  • Knowledge of PKI architecture, application security, data security and network security
  • Experience with project management.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools
