R&D Fragrance Technology Development Intern
THE ROLE
Reporting to a Senior manager/Senior Principal Scientist, you will be supporting the Fragrance Design & Technology Development Team on new fragrance technologies projects including new formats and new chassis. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Running literature research, patents landscape and competitive landscape.
- Identifying new raw materials from suppliers and testing them in the fragrance context
- Formulating cosmetic products (body lotion, shower gel, EDT) to support new fragrance technology development
- Delivering prototypes of new chassis that will meet consumer needs and marketing requests
- Ensuring the feasibility of new technologies and new chassis including all the technical aspects such as performance, stability, microbiology, safety, regulatory requirements and future scalability of the process.
- Supporting the other team members for samples preparation and evaluation
- Ensuring effective written and oral communication with weekly reports and presentations
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and safety
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
We’d love to see candidates who have:
- Completed Bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled in Master studies in Chemistry
- Skills in formulation and technical evaluation of products
- Autonomous approach and ability to identify and solve problems
- Rigorous, well organized, results orientated work approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to deliver against key deadlines.
- Passion for Science and Innovation in Formulation
- Passion for Beauty with a focus on the Fragrance Category
- Flexibility, Responsiveness, Curiosity, Team Spirit and working in an international environment
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) - Fluency in English, any other language is a plus
