The Coty Ireland Team is looking for a Marketing Assistant to support the Commercial Brand Manager on a 12-month fixed term basis starting July 2023.

You will be assisting the Brand Manager in the development and execution of brand plans that deliver profitable business growth through insight-led strategy.

In this role, no days are the same. The key responsibilities include:

Brand Management

  • Support the Brand team in all day-to-day brand responsibilities.
  • Develop Point-of-Sale / In-store display materials + manage all touchpoints from production to sell through with our distributors.
  • Represent the brand and present brand inductions/updates internally.
  • Manage product samples, keeping stock room and coordinating sending samples out.
  • Support the brand team in generating campaign ideas, conducting product research & analysis projects.
  • Help prepare for big presentations by ordering sample products, room decoration and creating any necessary marketing materials (e.g. booklets, posters etc.)
  • Support with market research, constructing qualitative and quantitative research tools and performing research with consumers in trade + analysing responses sharing key insights.
  • Live beauty, breathe beauty is one of our mantras. Pull bespoke Irish competitor review presentations and share with the wider teams, based on trade visits and market data.
  • Work closely with wider stakeholders on hotspot calendar deployment, briefing and artwork review liaising with our distributors to maximise trending space on stand.
  • Build promotional activity plans with sales and distributor teams, work to create promotional materials to bring plans to life instore and online.
  • Support merchandising team with annual stand updates, reviewing product performance to help make decisions on range reviews. Review all artwork and planogram changes, deploying updates to distributors.

Budget Management

  • Support with the brand marketing budget, raising POs, helping to resolve supplier invoice queries, and ensuring all budget trackers are maintained correctly.
  • Manage the POS budget tracker, requesting quotes and monitoring a status tracker to ensure all items are delivered to budget.

Asset Management

  • Manage brand assets and folders downloading key documents, campaign toolkits, pack shots and saving to campaign folders in the drive. Be the team expert on DAM database.


  • Working alongside our PR agency build our organic PR calendar, reviewing on weekly status calls and supporting with reactive opportunities for press and influencer activity.
  • Support the PR team with brand requests, imagery, pricing, stock requests.
  • Be on hand to help with all events to promote new launches, including briefs, product display and brand asset sign off. Plus any adhoc requests to support the PR agency. Share summarised event reports with the wider teams.


  • Working alongside our digital agency to craft the brand media calendar, reviewing influencer content, contract reviewing, deciding which assets to use and copy/messaging.
  • Schedule activity with Coty social channels to repurpose Irish content and grow Irish following, work alongside our distributors to book in social calendars with retailers to repurpose content on their platforms.
  • Keep our distributors updated on our latest marketing plan to ensure new products launch online with excellence (great visuals, content and ratings & reviews)

Competitive/Sales Analysis

  • Track competitor activity and industry trends, sharing key learnings internally.
  • Conduct monthly store visits with brand team taking picture of our own + competitor brands execution in-store and present back internally.
  • Conduct monthly sales analysis with Brand Manager including tracking category evolution, brand and competitor performances.             




  • Previous relevant experience ideal, but not essential.
  • Marketing/ business, or related degree course is essential
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate a pro-active attitude and flexible approach.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships and be a good team player.
  • High level of numeracy, marketing flair, PC skills, maturity, and communication skills
