CATEGORY MANAGER

WALMART NAILCARE – BENTONVILLE, AR

 

 

COTY is looking for smart leaders who are tenacious, passionate, and fearlessly kind.

 

We’re looking for a Category Manager to join the Category Management team working on the Walmart customer account.  This strategic role will see you leading development of category initiatives and bringing concepts to action for the Walmart shopper.  Reporting to a Sr. Category Manager, you will get to work across multiple aspects of the category business, provide project leadership, and bring to life ideas & concepts that grow category sales & gain market share. 

 

THE ROLE

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the beauty category and beauty shoppers.
  • Build key relationships and serve as the primary lead for modular execution.
  • Produce high quality category analytics to identify and realize market trends and insights.
  • Accountability of development and execution of reporting competitive market intelligence.
  • Partnering with the customer and category teams, to develop collaborative business solutions that drive category growth and share gain. 
  • Create and deliver compelling category story for the customer to leverage.
  • Collaborate with category, sales, customer marketing, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead category specific projects.
  • Management of short and long-term strategic goals.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS

 

We’d love to see candidates who have:

 

Essential:

  • Demonstrated track record of operating with integrity.
  • Proficiency leveraging multiple data sources, i.e. POS Data, Panel Metrics, and Industry Insights to develop category growth initiatives.
  • 2+ years working closely with Walmart merchants to implement the modular tactics.
  • Developing collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, supporting strategic development, modular development & execution.
  • Demonstrates self-motivation, adaptability, cooperation, and trust.
  • Possesses ability to positively influence others.
  • Demonstrates an ability to create fact-based presentation to achieve objectives in line with the customer strategy.
  • Serves as an active and high performing member of a team, and works on internal project teams as needed to foster a culture of growth and collaboration.
  • Acts with urgency to make the most of opportunities, address customer needs, and accomplish goals and objectives on the day to day business needs for category management.
  • Ability to complete projects and organize work independently to produce stated outcomes.

 

Desirable:

  • 4 year bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related fields
  • 5+ years prior experience in Consumer Goods Packaging
  • Proficient usage of Microsoft Office, JDA Space Planning, and syndicated data platforms i.e.. Retail Link, Nielsen, IRI, NPD
  • Proficient understanding and experience with market research principles
