Store Design & Visual Merchandising Manager

About the Role

You will lead design and visual merchandising efforts across Thailand local market in accordance with all the brand guidelines for the entire portfolio of brands under COTY Luxury Division. You will be the bridge between your internal stakeholders (ie Marketing and Commercial Team) and the Regional/Global Merchandising Team to conceptualize and implement best-in-class luxury retail excellence for our permanent point-of-sales and aligning strategic promotion plannings with strong design executions.  You will also analyze and understand sales data to guide product planogram and placement decisions in order to support the achievement of commercial KPIs.  In addition, you will also be responsible for budget planning and management to ensure good tracking.  This role also requires you to hold project management responsibilities for our business expansion and acceleration plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

STORE OPENING (PERMANENT MERCHANDISING)

  • Work closely with Regional Head of Merchandising for all new permanent design plans, ensuring that guidelines are adhered to, and the relevant approvals are obtained from both Global Teams and Fashion Houses in a timely manner and completed up to global standards.
  • Ensure all VM collaterals needed for every store opening are planned, ordered and catered for.
  • Be a champion for POS digitalization and provide feedbacks to regional/global on needs and improvements (eg. Virtual Makeup Studio, Skincare Diagnostic Machine, QR codes callouts etc).
  • Oversee permanent visual merchandising process and ensuring consistent excellence of visual presentation standards.
  • Coordinate store maintenance with retail team ensuring perfect in-store image.

LAUNCH DEVELOPMENT & ANIMATIONS (TEMPORARY MERCHANDISING)

  • Review promotional sites and develop strong creative design in accordance to guidelines; or adapt to local needs with approval from regional/global merchandising team during submission and approval process.
  • As part of the 360° launch plan, provide support to Marketing Team in terms of visual merchandising updates including PR and consumer events.
  • Review visual guidelines/croppings with suppliers for implementations.
  • Retro-planning for all launches and animations is required to ensure the Trade Planning Calendar and deadlines are well managed.
  • Ensure quality execution with a touch of luxury finesse, which is required for the COTY portfolio of brands.

POINT-OF-SALE MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure visibility and top-notch presentation of our brands and products through weekly store visits.
  • Coach and instil discipline in our Beauty Advisors for brand representation and counter upkeep.

BUDGET MANAGEMENT & FORECASTING

  • Handle all launch POSM offering orders from Global with alignment from Brand Managers and Commercial Team.
  • Manage all institutional/permanent POSM forecasting for existing doors given the restrictive ordering window periods.
  • Ensure that the Visual Merchandising expenditures for all brands are well managed within the yearly budgets allocated.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • You will need to have strong project management skills with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the retail industry and be able to simultaneously manage multiple projects across multiple brands.
  • You can work independently in a fast-paced working environment with tight deadlines.
  • You have experience working in global organizations with strong communication skills and cooperates well with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are customer-centric and possess a good understanding of consumer journey and shopper’s experience.
  • You have a design background in merchandising or interior design with knowledge of design software (Photoshop, Illustrator and/or AutoCAD).
  • You have a strong ability and experience in managing cost and budget; and an ability to communicate and negotiate cost with vendors.
  • You are proactive, think out-of-the-box and embrace a can-do attitude.
