MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position is a key role in implementing, monitoring and sustaining the quality policy, standards and procedures in Coty operations. The role involves a direct involvement from design to shipment of high quality products in a FMCG environment.
- Adherence to HS&E, Quality, GLP, GMP (ISO 22716) and Hygiene Policies.
- Knowledge of ISO 22716
- Quality Management Systems, sampling, inspection, suppliers, tooling, manufacturing methods and techniques, lean.
- Responsible for timely and effective quality testing and batch file review.
- Provide a strong and effective support to the supply chain concerning all matters in quality.
- Review and analyze quality results for quality improvements e.g. RFT
- Create, edit, approve, review and maintain quality control procedures
- Partake in internal and external quality/H&S audits.
- Present and share information on processes or practices with external auditors or visitors.
- Provide quality advice and guidance to manufacturing & assembly departments.
- Conduct Quality training.
- Work with Value streams to investigate quality failures to determine root causes and suggest solutions or process changes.
- Work closely with global suppliers, subcontractors and inter-company departments, including within the lines in the factory, as well as a variety of distributors in order to achieve and monitor the specified quality levels and performance.
- Support the Line Certification programme and continuously develop/improve systems and procedures to improve Right First Time (RFT) and minimise quality risks.
- Contribute to and participate in continuous improvement activities as required (Lean Events) , FMEA’s, Projects, Problem solving (8D).
- Perform Supplier Audits using the appropriate Corporate Audit Questionnaire.
- Take part in supplier assessment and approval.
- Contact and develop relationships with suppliers and production to determine root causes of any failures.
- Assist with monthly reports, trending and monitoring of key performance indicators
- Work in partnership with IC/TPD
- Continuously look at ways to drive waste reduction.
- Partake in Product recall/traceability simulations
- Represent department at key meetings, projects or working groups, delegate for Quality Manager where necessary.

Knowledge:
- Minimum 10 year experience in international cosmetic or pharmaceutical industry specifically in good manufacturing practices (GMP) quality assurance
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in an international company in the consumer goods industry
- In depth understanding of the cosmetic industry and European and US legal requirement, knowledge of ISO 22716/ISO9001 is a plus
Functional/Technical Skills:
- Language skills as well as fluent written and spoken English skills required; knowledge of other languages such as French, German, Italian, Spanish is an asset
- Good IT knowledge of MS Office applications and Lotus Notes

Educations:
- Bachelor’s Science Degree or equivalent experience required
- A’ Level’s or above in a relevant scientific or engineering related discipline.
- Background in Quality Management Systems
- Quality Assurance Certification is highly desired
- Statistical Process Control Certification is a plus
