Senior Global Category Buyer – Raw Materials

THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Global Category Buyer to join our Raw Materials sourcing team and act as a lead for a set of different raw material categories. You’ll be reporting directly into the Global Procurement Director for Raw Materials. The portfolio will give you full exposure to our Fragrance, Color cosmetics, Skincare and Body care business. The purpose is to support the execution of our sourcing strategy at a Global level in order to ensure vendors operate at the right service level while optimizing our Total Cost of Ownership. The position is expected to be the main driver creating “value” (driving both bottom-line (savings) and top-line (External Innovation). In other words, the position is expected to deliver ‘Cost out’, ‘Value in’ and ‘Cash in’ for Coty and requires close cooperation with a broad group Coty business stakeholder, for instance R&D, Operations, Marketing and Finance. 

Additionally, the position is expected to create spend insight on group level including transparency on processes and policies across markets. Furthermore, the position is expected to report and share findings, savings and transferring best practice experiences across Coty. With sustainability being part of our mission, the role will also drive sustainability programs with raw material suppliers. The position shall ensure appropriate support and alignment from local business units and countries in the implementation and execution of the strategy and relevant projects. In all its activities the position is expected to act as a commercial expert working closely together with all of the relevant teams as well as any other relevant internal or external stakeholder.
 
KEY RESPONSABILITIES

• Globally manage a set of various Raw Material Categories
• Structure portfolio, run benchmarks, produce materials to turn data into insights
• Design and implement sourcing strategies
• Ability to steer projects cross-functionally
• Contribute to delivery of short-medium- & long-term category objectives
• Engage and lead execution on both global and local level leveraging various teams
• Partner with entire Raw Material population and leaders to select Global/Regional Preferred vendor lists for our Raw Material Categories
• Implement a Supplier Relationship Management program and drive YoY improvement and our sustainability agenda

 
WHAT YOU’LL BRING 
Profile and education:

• At least 6-8 years of procurement experience.
• A first experience in FMCG/Beauty Industry environment; previous experience in Raw Material sourcing is a plus.
• Experience in working in an international environment and matrix organization;
• Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or Chemistry Degree qualified;
• High degree of fluency of English is required.
