THE ROLE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as the single point of contact (SPOC) for RTR related topics for the Holdings tower under his/her responsibility for CFOs and senior management, supporting the Senior Manager in overall team coordination and work allocation to the GL accountants.
- Acts as a facilitator and coordinator of the end-to-end Month End close (MEC) process of the Holdings in his/her responsibility ensuring compliance with internal policies, local regulations and US GAAP requirements.
- Overall review of Quarterly analytical & reporting packs for the company under his/her responsibility for SEC reporting and coordinator of all the contributors to these packs.
- Take full ownership of the balance sheet for the Holdings tower under his/her responsibility. Ensure to identify and analyze unusual or reconciling items and take appropriate actions to resolve exceptions. Review balance sheets accounts / specs under control by other parties (e.g., co-pilots, SSC, AR & HR) and align if needed ensure on time follow up and cleaning.
- Supports and guides the team, alongside with review of the statutory annual accounts according to DUTCH Gaap for Holdings tower.
- Technical guidance and support for the GL accountants in all the accounting aspects. Review and direct involvement in the difficult accounting JEs.
- Ensure support, coordination and active participation in the external audit process for both US and local GAAP audits for Holdings entities. Support in the internal audit process and safeguard on time follow up on the action plans in case of deficiencies within the RTR process.
- Review and validation of the annual operating plan/budget and monthly/quarterly latest estimates for the Holding entities.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Key requirements
- Financial accountancy experience to a minimum of 8 years and qualified with a recognized accounting body (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with Travel Retail and Export experience.
- Proven track record of leading a team (to be able to manage BPO team).
- Strong communication, networking and negotiation skills.
- Able to handle / priorities task and workload and those of the team.
- Strong Dutch Gaap knowledge.
