ROLE AND DEPARTMENT 
We’re looking for a Manager Regulatory Affairs - REACH to join our Regulatory team. This position has the responsibility to ensure compliance of all COTY materials & products with the EU/UK Chemical Regulations (CLP, REACH, transport), as well as with equivalent third countries regulations. The function also includes building and improving regulatory systems and procedures. Reporting to a Senior Director Regulatory Affairs, you will monitor EU/Global Regulatory environment related to chemical regulations.
 

THE ROLE 
In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing process and systems to ensure all substances, raw materials and products are assessed, approved, and handled in compliance with REACH regulation across EMEA
  • Preparing registration dossiers with support of external agencies, and file application for chemical registration in the EU, in strict collaboration with Toxicologists
  • Refining supply chains and REACH-compliance strategies for imported materials and products
  • Preparing and support product inspections by competent Authorities
  • Supporting initiative teams and Supply Chain teams in assessing sourcing scenarios, resolving contingencies and issues
  • Interface with Suppliers as necessary to clarify compliance aspects, negotiate/establish Only Representative actors to minimize direct burden on COTY
  • Establishing process to monitor volumes and updated REACH registrations accordingly
  • Maintain chemical registrations owned by COTY up to date
  • Monitoring EU/Global Regulatory environment related to chemical regulations, lead impact assessment and definition of compliance action plans
  • Anticipate emerging regulations and conduct impact assessment in collaboration with toxicologist
  • Representing COTY at relevant trade associations and lead regulatory influencing strategy for chemical regulations.
  • Assisting global Regulatory teams in their implementation of assessment/compliance plans for chemical regulations in third countries. Actively promote international convergence of chemical regulations 
  •  Maintain Regulatory capability on Classification and Labelling and SDS authoring, acting as consultant and advisor
  • Supporting COTY teams and manufacturing sites in defining requirements and establishing processes for the transport of chemicals and finished goods
  • Interface with Suppliers as necessary to clarify compliance aspects, negotiate/establish Only Representative actors to minimize direct burden to the organization

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Essential: 

  • Master Degree in Scientific disciplines (Master of Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy or equivalents),
  • Minimum 5 years of experience on EU REACH, and proven track record of successful dossiers’ submissions
  • Familiarity with REACH testing requirements and OECD protocols
  • Very good English skills, both oral and in written
  • Passion to design processes and systems
  • High degree of commitment and strong motivation for career in Regulatory Affairs. 
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team, with diverse groups of people at various levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills to complete assignments accurately.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while being flexible to changes in priorities and interruptions.
  • High energy and high capacity to handle multiple priorities under time-pressure.

Desirable: 

  • French or German is a plus
