INTERN – FRAGRANCE DESIGN – OLFACTIVE STUDIO CONSUMER BEAUTY

RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Intern – Fragrance Design, you will be reporting to the director of the newly formed Olfactive Studio Consumer Beauty, based in Amsterdam. This team is responsible for the global fragrance development for our industry leading Mass Scenting portfolio (incl. Adidas, David Beckham, Bruno Banani, Mexx, Nautica etc). During your 6–12-month internship your focus will be to support the team for general olfactive evaluation work, market and product reviews plus sample logistics/coordination. A project opportunity will be available.

Your main focus: 

• Preparing and coordinating olfactive competitor and market reviews across (new) geographies for Prestige & Mass Fragrances
• Preparing and coordinating olfactive mappings and classifications for our brands, relevant markets and competitors
• Joining us for creative input for our upstream fragrance development for our Mass Fragrance portfolio
• Supporting the Director and/or Senior Manager on submissions for projects across our portfolio
• Supporting us logistically, coordinating general sample management, set reviews and feedback to our Fragrance House partners

The team currently consists of a director based in Amsterdam and a senior manager based in New York. You will work closely together with several departments such as Global Marketing, Consumer Insights and R&D. You will be joining the team right from the start, still in the setup phase, hence an agile mindset and a can-do attitude are essential.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT

You are looking to work as an Intern in Fragrance Design & Evaluation. You bring olfactive skills either from your current degree and/or from previous work experience. You get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you:

• Need to complete a 6–12-month internship for your degree from ISIPCA, ESP or similar
• Aspire to work as a fragrance design manager or evaluator in the future
• You are:
• Passionate about Fragrances & Beauty, with some category knowledge
• Comfortable with a busy and demanding work environment, responding effectively to multiple requests, showing reactivity, adaptability and resilience
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in French as a plus
• Familiar with O365, Outlook, MS Excel, Word, and Power Point
