GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT

Location: Amsterdam

The General Ledger Accountant will be exposed to high complexity of operation and innovative spirit!

RESPONSIBILITIES

As our General Ledger Accountant you will join a team of highly motivated finance professionals, supporting the complete management of the financial ledgers of Cotys European Principal entities, as well as the Commercial entities of Benelux and Global Travel Retail.

Your main focus includes:

• Support in Month End, Quarter and yr end close process,
• Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations,
• Review, analysis and clearance of Balance Sheet accounts
• Supports treasury, other accountants and senior management with their daily activities and ad hoc requests (banking, cash forecasting)
• Involvement in preparation of statutory annual accounts where Dutch GAAP knowledge would be an advantage
• Ensure smooth external audit process for both US and local GAAP audits.

The team consists of 2 General Ledger Accountants & Senior Financial Manager, you will work closely together with several departments such as HR, business control, treasury, BPO teams. As an experienced General Ledger Accountant, you will add value and feel energized from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment.

Other than that, you will have:

• BSC in Accounting/Business.
• Experience within the Accounting field ideally within a matrix organisation
• Solid and practical working experience of SAP, HFM and Microsoft Office packages.
• Dutch GAAP knowledge is a plus.
• Leading and coordinating collaboration with a Business Partner Organisation/Shared Service Centre organization is a plus
• Strong Communication and Collaboration skills
