Cluster Leader - Southern Europe Distributor Markets

In the Sales Team for our European Distributor Markets (EDM), we are responsible for our Luxury and CB business in > 40 countries in EMEA. Furthermore, we manage some of the biggest and fastest growing e-com retailers in Europe. We are a dynamic and international team of highly motivated sales people and together with our colleagues from the broader EDM organization we are shaping the future of our brands in markets with > 300 M consumers. We do this in close collaboration with our distributor and retail partners, and we cover a wide range of different business models. Coty is seeking a talented, highly motivated and experienced individual to join Coty`s Sales team for the Europe Distributor Markets. The Cluster leader is responsible building the business in a sustainable way with dedicated customers. You are the central liaison between the distributor and multifunctional teams and have a strategic mindset with a strong vision on how to win in-store and online.


The Cluster leader is responsible for achieving the financial targets (Net Revenue and Profitability) for the respective cluster, including alignment and execution of the Joint Business Plan (JBP), with clear strategic priorities and building blocks by brand. The scope covers the entire Coty portfolio, including Prestige, Consumer Beauty and Skincare products.


Scope: 13 Distributors, 7 countries, direct reports of 1-2 Sales Managers


This role will report into the Sales Director, located in Amsterdam (Netherlands).


Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliver the annual Gross Sales and Net Revenue Targets for the cluster, covered through full service distributors.
  • Own and manage trade investment budget, aiming at effectively deploy investments in a profitable manner
  • Align annual Joint Business Plan with your respective cluster prioritizing market share and sustainable growth
  • Negotiate price structure improvement leveraging Distributor synergies and portfolio expansion
  • Constantly review Sell-To-Trade and Sales to identify risks or opportunities, while ensuring effective stock level at the Distributor warehouse, minimizing local out of stock and limiting overstock
  • Effectively collaborate in a multifunctional environment with marketing, finance and customer supply;


Account Management

  • Develop strong working relationship with assigned distributors.
  • Drive commercial negotiations with the distributors.
  • Maximize all aspects of business (in-shop space & locations, prices, investments, promotions…)
  • Day-to-day management of accounts working with the multifunctional team based in Amsterdam
  • Forecasting responsibilities on saleable and non-saleable goods


Execute Perfect Store

  • Deliver perfect store step change based on closing identified gaps across 4Ps.
  • Execute distribution strategy focusing on growing channels


Distributor enablement

  • Deploy precise guidance with clear brand positioning and go to market per brand
  • Serve DSR with excellence on commercial readiness and product supply service level
  • Maximize the presence in the field with regular market visits (10-20% travel component)
  • Build strong relationships by sharing win-win strategies




Min qualification

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate and influence with a variety of stakeholders – both internally and externally
  • 6-8 years’ of experience within the sales function with key account management background and ideally ecommerce proficiency.
  • Track-record of sales achievements: experience in target and priority setting, monitoring and delivering.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage high complex environments familiarity in working with key retailers and/or distributors
  • Experience in managing a team of professionals
  • Able to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Experience in beauty categories background is an advantage
  • Fluency in English with a second language an advantage
  • Experience in Israeli beauty/FMCG/retailer landscape is an advantage
