ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Business Facing PowerBI Manager role is an exciting role in COTY’s global IT department. Being in global IT the role sits in a team of four, reporting to the Global IT Senior Director Analytics & Business Intelligence.

THE ROLE

This challenging role requires the candidate to be expert in PowerBI acting as animator of the PowerBI community in COTY. You understand how to drive adoption, develop training programs and generate excitement for beautiful prototypes built by you as well as the business. Also you have a good understanding of different communication & collaboration channels (Email, WorkPlace, MS Teams, etc), to effectively engage with business stakeholders. The role will give you lots of exposure across COTY’s business domains, being engaged in challenging data-driven challenges.

As part of a greater team, together with finance, sales&marketing and supply chain domain experts and an Azure BI architect you define the governance for PowerBI as part of the MS Azure cloud architecture. Within your team you discuss how to scale prototype gems into global capabilities. As a team you will drive consistency, align on way of working, share ideas, challenge each other, and ensure Analytics & BI is a success in COTY. Together we shape COTY’s data driven journey, employee satisfaction and COTY’s future success across the globe.

In a nutshell, you

• Provide thought leadership and best practices around adoption of PowerBI practices, communication of these practices and providing training to our global community.

• Empower business users with PowerBI and guide them in their quest for stories using data. You support domains in building prototypes, of which some scale out to become global capabilities.
   
• Are COTY’s internal ambassador for PowerBI – to engage the COTY business community by offering PowerBI community calls with the technical know-how, best practices, latest features and internal success stories.

• Drive the future – develop BI Accelerators like templates, training materials and define governance around PowerBI, keeping a healthy balance between adding control and leaving freedom. You shape the future of successful PowerBI adoption in COTY.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

The ideal candidate

• loves PowerBI and exploring its features to know what cases they can be applied to
• has eye for detail to create beautiful work, visually as well as under the hood
• effectively engages the business community with PowerBI opportunities
• demonstrates outreach to key users within the COTY landscape to build the community and share and reapply learnings
• demonstrates future capabilities for the pain points of current ways of working
• ensures that PowerBI services are effectively provided to the business and aligned to IT governance

Key requirements

• Speaks English, strong in writing and verbal communication
• Confident in hosting community calls and trainings in an exciting way
• Rudimentary graphic design skills
• Comfortable with PowerBI visuals, models and connectivity methods
• Experienced in applying dataflows, datamarts, models, DAX, WorkSpaces, Apps and security
• Demonstrated ability to drive change in an organization
• Strong current working knowledge with enterprise applications (PowerBI, and Azure Datalake) (critical)
• 3-5 years of experience in PowerBI / Azure architectures in a business facing role
