Mission
The Sales Finance Analyst acts as business partner for sales and other stakeholders for Wella Company Benelux (Professional Beauty – hair & nail, Retail Hair) with regards to Trade Funds, Reporting & Digital Frontline Tools. The Sales Finance Analyst reports to the Sales Finance Manager Wella Benelux.

On the topics of Trade Funds, Reporting & Digital Frontline Tools, the Sales Finance Analyst works in close cooperation with main stakeholder Sales and supports the further organization with accurate information to drive growth and profitability. Partnering with the Marketing, Education and Supply Chain departments is required to guide those departments to an ROI mindset with business intelligence, analytical insights & reporting.

The Sales Finance Analyst plays a pivotal role in making sure processes, systems and routines are 100% available & accurate, to free up time for all stakeholders to focus on business building activities. #wellacareers

 

Main responsibilities

  • Understand market goals & strategies as well as Wella’s financial policies to support the Frontline to achieve targets
  • Own 100% availability & accuracy of processes, systems & routines regarding Trade Funds, Reporting & Digital Frontline Tools
  • Partner with sales to remain SOX compliant in the context of Trade Funds and revenue recognition, ensuring full compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Partner with Sales and the Sales Finance Manager to assess Trade Terms Deviation requests
  • Partner with the Sales Finance Manager to provide correct information for Trade Funds Accruals
  • Own the creation, archiving & maintenance of commercial contracts
  • Own the system setup of Trade Terms
  • Partner with sales to keep track of sales targets & budgets
  • Own 100% availability & accuracy of the suite of standard reports that serve 80% of the reporting needs
  • Train the organization to be able to perform the 20% remaining reporting needs
  • Provide financial ad-hoc analysis, answering the rapidly changing needs of an FMCG environment
  • Own digital sales troubleshooting: ensuring 100% availability & accuracy of the digital sales tools

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven working experience as Business Analyst / Systems Engineer (1-5 years) in a multinational / private equity owned company
  • Previous experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and advanced reporting systems (e.g. PowerBI)
  • Previous experience with training (larger) groups on how to use digital tools & reporting
  • Previous experience with Data Analytics programming languages (Python) is a pre
  • Extensive use of MS Excel

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor degree in Analytics / Engineering / Finance / Business Administration
  • Strong understanding of data structures & data visualization
  • Highly analytical & inquisitive by nature and able to understand trends in complex data and interpret them
  • Experience with automation of reporting processes in a SAP / Power BI environment
  • Proactive, highly-driven and self-motivated working style
  • High attention to accuracy and precision; operational discipline; ability to deliver against tight deadlines
  • High level of mental agility with ability to manage complexity, connecting the dots and finding solutions
  • Change management attitude, ability to work in a changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of hierarchy with multifunctional partners and with external stakeholders
  • Ability to work in an international business context. Fluent in written & spoken Dutch & English. French is a pre.
