The role

The RTR/AP specialist as part of the Italian Finance Custodian Team, will support the daily activities including general accounting, month-end close and treasury reporting, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, Accounts Payable ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Extensive knowledge about accounting and RTR GL/FA/ICO procedures (minimum 3-5 years);
  • Support the Italian controlling & business teams during the close process which includes: preparing journal entries;
  • Support the treasury local activities and prepare payments when required coordinating activities with SSC Treasury team;
  • Accounts Payable Single Point of Contact in Italy, supporting the business and central teams in AP issue resolutions;
  • Support internal control testing, documentation and compliance;
  • Provide accounting administrative support and training as needed enhancing the internal control and procedures cultures with a focus on SAP process;
  • Tax authority reconciliation / electronic billing reconciled on a weekly base;
  • Support internal and external audits by providing audit schedules, support and responding to inquiries;
  • Cooperation with Indirect Tax team in Shared Service Center in ensuring that all such as sales tax, per unit tax, value-added tax (VAT), or goods and services tax (GST) will be submitted correctly and paid on time (F24);
  • Monitoring the monthly accrual and payment of agent’s commissions and related taxes with focus on monthly calculation and JE preparation for commissions & social charges for 140 agents/ FIRR/ENASARCO/ISC monthly reconciliation/ monthly invoices bookings and monthly check & payment / agents settings in the system (new code/ new and/or update IBAN requirement i.e.);
  • Support the plastic tax filing that will start in July 2021  setting the flow and calculating impacts / BTC consignment stock according to the local compliancy  will start in Feb 2022 with manual accounting out of SAP (waiting for SAP implementation);
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken required;
  • Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and results-driven;
  • Ability to prioritize and organize;
  • Ability to work across cultures with all levels of the organization as well as with different functions;
  • MS Office (Excel advanced), strong knowledge of SAP (advanced).

 

Key requirements

  • Bachelor in Accounting or related field experience is required;
  • 7+ years’ experience in accounting or financial analysis with Italian GAAP and IFRS;
  • Solid accounting and analytical skills;
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office, and extensive use of Excel;
  • Strong experience with SAP;
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English;
  • Ability to deal with diverse groups and various levels of financial and operating personnel maintaining a positive attitude under pressure;
  • Agile and quick to adapt to change;
  • Flexibility, multi-tasking, creative thinking, good business judgment, strong organizational & communication skills are all required to meet strict deadlines and manage other projects;
  • Must be a strong team player, highly motivated, and eager to learn.
