THE ROLE

The position is for a Senior Manager in Regulatory Affairs for the North America region supporting all professional and consumer businesses of the Company and international R&D developments. The position reports to the global leader of Corporate Regulatory Affairs. In this role, the candidate will be responsible to maintain and further develop the regulatory capability of the US-based regulatory team, also covering Canada and Puerto Rico, to implement – and contribute to create - global processes and systems. The candidate is expected to establish a culture of “one team” and build a full collaborative partnership with R&D teams, particularly those based in the US.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Overall accountability for NA team’s regulatory assessments of products, ingredients, labels, claims, novel technologies and product ideas and related compliance options. Overall accountability for US-team support to global products’ registrations and global compliance needs.
  • Functional and administrative supervision of the US-based regulatory personnel, including personal development and career growth, salary management, performance review, recruiting and compliance with global and local HR policies.
  • Efficient integration of regulatory support into technology/product development and business processes. Full integration of the US-based team into global Corporate Regulatory Affairs organization, processes, culture and way of working.
  • Representation of company interests in trade associations such as PCPC, consortia and other regulatory relevant groups of interest. Establishment of a network of consultants and agencies to expand regulatory capabilities and capacity on a need basis.
  • Regulatory leadership and interface with regulatory authorities in case of issues, audits quality incidents, market recalls, competition or legal challenges.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Undergraduate Degree in relevant field of study.
  • 3+ years Marketing experience, Beauty or CPG industry preferred.
