We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our fast-paced and evolving HR & Payroll team. This person will all HRIS & Payroll functions including but not limited to the management of work flow & data integrity in Global HRIS system (SAP), monitoring and troubleshooting the continued work flow on the data exchange to the Local Payroll system (ULTI), managing the gap analysis in the Payroll system and updating required fields as needed. Have a strong understanding of Wella organization design to perform frequent audit & reporting needs.



  • As part of the Payroll team, manage bi-weekly payroll and workflows for approximately 700 employees in the United States and Puerto Rico.
  • Support the HRIS & Payroll transition project through reporting and data validation, testing, and other effective project support.
  • Input all payroll changes, note missing data and proactively clarify issues. Ensures that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis and provide supporting documentation to manager.
  • Implement payroll audits as necessary to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Create and encourage strong partnerships with internal and external partners, best-in-class employee support, and adherence to compliance.
  • Processes manual checks and wires to meet business needs, such as; incentives, terminations and payroll discrepancies and/or stop payment
  • Supports end-of-year requirements, to include: compile and enter non-cash payments to ensure annual earnings are accurately reported for all employees, complete year end reporting for payroll, etc.
  • Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Accounting and Finance teams for payroll-related concerns
  • Provide best-in-class and trusted partnership to employees and responding to incoming calls, e-mails, mail and in-person requests in appropriate time, usually within 24 hours.
  • As needed, ensure timely and accurate Kronos Timekeeping, including weekly audits of employee’s time and corrections to exceptions hours.
  • Designs end-user friendly processes, guidelines and documentation
  • Comply with company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Provide back-up support to other payroll team members as needed
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned



  • High School Diploma required.
  • 3 to 5 years of combined HRIS & Payroll experience required
  • Experience with SAP, Ultimate Software, Cognos BI, Kronos & Ceridian applications preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll-related employment law and compliance in United States and California
  • CPP or FPC preferred
  • Experience with SAP, Ultimate Software, Cognos BI, Kronos & Ceridian applications preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal. Able to manage difficult situations with diplomacy.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Ability to navigate a variety of business and people circumstances with a strong sense of ethics and discretion
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even when working under capacity constraints
  • Able to work flexible hours as business requires – occasionally during nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to successfully apply multi-tasking, prioritization, and self-motivation in a fast-paced environment with frequent disruptions and shifting priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish languages is a plus.
