Demand Planning can be defined as the art and science of planning customer demand to drive holistic execution of such demand by corporate supply chain and business management. Demand Planning starts with a solid statistical forecast and adds intelligence through consensus management of the demand information process



The Market Forecast Planner is responsible for delivering an unbiased and accurate channel level forecast to enable business and supply planning.  The MFP is a key part of the Demand Planning team and has overall responsibilities for working with Sales partners to gather demand related Market intelligence.  Market intelligence includes initiatives, distribution, pricing, and promotional activities.  The MFP then collaborates with the Brand Demand Planner to integrate the market intel into the forecast


In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Lead Channel Level Pre-S&OP process, bottoms up forecast and R&Os for the business for financial reporting
  • Drive clarity between demand plan gap vs channels and provide summary for Channel calls/NAPB S&OP
  • Drive multifunctional forecast inputs and alignment for reasonability based on experience and market drivers, and influence input to deliver optimal plans.
  • Standardize meeting drumbeats and enable future planning for an efficient supply chain
  • Develop deep knowledge of market characteristics and previous marketing events to optimize the forecast
  • Gather market-specific forecast information (‘market intelligence’) from Commercial teams or customers and provide consulting to Customer teams on customer events to optimize marketing plans.
  • Gather information on future initiatives and align customer/channel expectations with local market assumptions
  • Translate market intelligence received into clear, specific value-added changes to the forecast, and communicate changes to Brand Demand Planners
  • Regularly educate Brand Demand Planner on characteristics of the market affecting the forecast, and current local business climate
  • Coaching Demand Planning Analysts and validating final forecast for own Market/Category
  • Maintain quality and consistency of Key Forecast Changes (KFCs) and Risks & Opportunities



  • 2+ years of Demand Planning or Supply Planning experience
  • 2+ years working with multifunctional teams
  • Solid technical skills in SAP, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience owning measures and improving results
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Aptitude for problem solving
  • Track record of working independently to produce solutions
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment and quickly learn new processes
  • Strong analytical ability with special attention to detail
