Position Title: Social Media Education Coordininator

Location: Calabasas, CA 

Reports to:  Sr. Manager, Portfolio Education

Directly supporting the brand education team in commercial execution and business process management. Responsible for implementation of WellaEd social media accounts content and managing social community, Daily tracking of social conversation and user-generated content, relationships with industry pros and supporting digital strategy. Support Influencer marketing Passionista strategy, marketing activations and product launches, studio and other educational classes. Responsible for supporting Passionista activations in partnership with the agency on social media.  


In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Helping to achieve WellaEducation social media strategy provided by Portfolio Sr. Manager
  • Community management of WellaEd accounts (manage and answer comments, audience interaction for technical content) 
  • Managing  monthly content calendar, edit captions so posts lead with education, tips/tricks, product, or formulas
  • Staying up to date on beauty trends to create trending content/mood boards to pass on to agency 
  • Leading UGC outreach, social listening and reposting opportunities for customers, Educators, Artists and influencers
  • Capturing content at events (FB/ IG Lives, Studio & Industry Events, BTS, Story Take Overs, etc…) 
  • Managing work flow with Agency for creative projects 
  • Assisting content production for Education App, WellaStore, Youtube 
  • Leading content for education social media capability (newsletters, Artists spotlight/ features
  • Patrnering with Influncer Marketing to assist with Passionistas group community management
  • Developing Passionista content calendar integration for WellaHairUSA and WellaED
  • Acitvely managing new passionistas recruitment and onboarding
  • Leading Passionistas Masterclass curriculum planning
  • Serving as NA SPOC on global share & reapply sessions with monthly connects with Global Community & Engagement Manager for Wella Passionistas 




  • 1-3 years experience in similar role or capacity
  • Licensed cosmetologist (min 3 years) 
  • Program development (concepts, go to market, new capabilities (i.e. digital, etc) programs for product initiatives  and education programs  
  • Training - presentation skills/public speaking       
  • Strong Collaboration skills 
  • Strong project management skills
  • Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, refugee, asylee or lawful permanent resident.
  • College Degree preferred or Acceptable work-related experience
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle proof of insurance, and ability to drive and travel long distances for extended periods.
  • Knowledge/Experience of the Nail Professional Salon industry preferred 
  • Computer proficiency with Ms Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Adobe suite
