Within IT, the Business Facing organization’s responsibility is to work with our business partners to capture demand, drive business transformation AND adoption of IT solutions (internal and external solutions).

 

THE ROLE

We are actively looking for an IT Global Business lead for the Finance domain that will be responsible for interfacing with the finance business and IT to ensure that :

  1. The demand from the Finance business is clearly understood, prioritized and translated into 3-5 years IT roadmap
  2. In-depth understanding of the Finance portfolio
  3. Reporting & control capabilities for the IT project portfolio fir Finance (scope, timing, costs)
  4. Key E2E phases of the projects are delivered

The role also includes geographical accountability for the RoW region to ensure that regional requirements are covered across all IT domains. The position will have one direct report to manage the APAC sub-region.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owns business relationship management with the finance function
  • Develop and maintain a 3-5 years IT road map based on business objectives for the finance function
  • Oversees project delivery and ensure proper alignment with IT leadership and the business leadership. Incl.
    • Provide support and assistance developing requirements for specific projects throughout project phases
    • Oversee budget for specific projects in close coordination with the head of business facing and IT controller
    • Oversees resources assigned to development of business requirements & specifications
    • Ensures proper follow-up of testing/post-go live support/adoption…and agrees project completion with business leadership
    • Controls identification of key risks and mitigation plans before and during projects. Provides support in the development of business continuity plans with their respective function
    • Manages specific projects built outside of the COE or infrastructure
  • Understands and anticipates goals / initiatives (e.g. transformation) of the Finance function and resulting operational needs / requirements for change;
    • acts as "trusted advisor" to Finance management for IT expertise
    • Identifies opportunities for business improvements through new IT capabilities
  • Communicates actively with stakeholders across the organization, including IT and Finance function management
    • Develop appropriate KPIs

Requirements:

  • Finance business and process experience (e.g. treasury, reporting, tax, accounting, risk management, shared services)
  • Stakeholder management and excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Ability to work with and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong business sense and ability to develop sound opportunities to meet the needs of the business.
  • IT solution design, project management, delivery and sourcing experience
  • Working knowledge of existing solutions (e.g. HFM, Kyriba, Nakisa Lease Accounting, TrustWeaver)
  • Self-starter, ability to work at own initiative
  • Personal energy and ability to inspire teams and individuals
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
  • 10+ years experience in technology / business facing roles
